Birthday Choo Choo

Lots of family birthdays this month and of course had to do everyone else's cards before my personal ones. What is it they say about "the sooter's bairns aye hid holes in their sheen" translation - the cobbler's children always had holes in their shoes. Well enough waffle - a very special birthday on the 17th - my gorgeous grandson Oliver will be ONE....can't believe it..where does time go.
This card was inspired by one I saw on Lainy's blog although her one is much better than mine - pop over and take a look. The background paper is "Big Dots" from Pink Petticoat, the train is a chipboard one from Craftwork Cards but being a thrifty Scot I decided to keep it as a template and just traced round it onto DCWV self adhesive cardstock. I bought this cardstock last year - huge pack of fab colours at a reasonable price and it just seems to go on for ever. Great for using with die cutting machines and punches. The alphabets are "Alpha Pals" from American Crafts - lovely bright colours - great for kids' cards. Back to the doodling again - this time with a white pen, adding a little bit of dotty ribbon.
