A special card

I was asked to make a card for a very special man - Dr Lloyd from the Special Nursery at Foresterhill Hospital Aberdeen. He will be retiring on 5th June and I am sure will be missed by all his colleagues and patients alike. There must be thousands of families who will be forever indebted to him for the dedicated work he does with the babies in the Special Nursery and I wish him a long and happy retirement. A little personal rant...these are the people who should be rewarded in the Honours List not "the famous for 5 minutes so called celebrities"...sorry about that but it's a bugbear of mine.
A bit of a challenge this one as there was no information about hobbies or the like so I thought I would go down the doctor route and note there is no doodling or faux stitching on this one.

  2. What a fab card. Perfect for a man of the profession. Like you I agree that these are the people who should be receiving the awards etc & yet they are always overlooked. Very sad but just shows how dedicated they truly are that they do such wonderful work over the years & never expect any recognition for it. Angels to us all.

  4. Hi Kath, absolutely love this card. I think the way that you have "edged/highlighted" the collar and buttony bit? (what is the proper word for that? chest?) is brilliant, makes the detail stand out really well. I agree with your comments about the unsung heros, people of the 999 services are definately heros in my eyes. See ya soon, Karen
