Work v Play

It's been very difficult to be motivated today as this is the view out of my workshop window and boy is it warm out there. I must admit that I have been popping in and out all day - well a girl needs a break and a quick fix of coffee before continuing with the card orders.

This is what I enjoy doing the most - making cards out of small pieces of card and paper. The teddy is just circles of brown cardstock cut with the Cricut, the edges inked and then the face drawn on - it's amazing what you can create with just card and I think this one was inspired by a magazine article by Jo Kill. The background paper and the Letter 1 are using papers from Pink Petticoat "Little Fleurs" CD adding large eyelets from We R Memory Keepers, a little bit of ribbon and small hearts cut with the Cricut.

This card was made using papers from K & Co "Hopscotch Girl" collection cutting out the flowers and butterflies from one of the sheets of paper, chipboard letters inked in colours to match and a Quickutz tag with sentiment. I love these papers as the colours are so soft. Just the slightest flitter of glitter finishes it off.
