Daring Cardmakers Challenge

Hi Folks....the dare this week on Daring Cardmakers is from  Sue and is.........

ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR
but with a twist in the tail
an oriental themed card but with no red and black
Now this was a real challenge for me....not the colour restrictions...just the whole blinking thing....I have never ever before made an oriental card.....not my cup of tea at all but.....I may have changed my mind.....quite taken with how it turned out....let me know what you think!!!
Cardstock: Core'dinations
Images: Cherry Blossom..Oriental Writing and Geisha
all from clear stamp set from Debbi Moore Designs
Flowers: Prima
Embellishment....Crafty Bitz
I love the Cherry Blossom stamp...just coloured the flowers roughly with Sakura White Souffle Pen.
Off now to have a go at the challenge on "The Pink Elephant" ..... hope you have been and said hello or you may be one step ahead and have already made your card......
And Todd has finally been voted off..poor man....he was having a ball but oops he looked as though he'd had an accident in his pants..Jason was right on the nail with that one and it was so embarrassing to watch BUT hey Dan the Man and Roxanne are still in....don't much care for her...a bit of a mouthie mare but he is just what the doctor ordered......and a brill skater to boot.......catch up with you all later.
Hugs Kath xxxxx

  2. Well this is a superb card Kath - so elegant and classy and fabulous colours. Poor Todd, but he was starting to outstay his welcome. I'm with you re Daniel, awww he is such a cutie, but I cannot stand Roxanne. She is so far up her own a** that she is practically coming out of her own gob!!! I think they should have given him someone nice!! Big hugs and have a nice day xxxx

  3. I know exactly what you mean about oriental cards Kath, this is only the third one I’ve ever made in all the years I’ve been crafting!

The Cherry Blossom stamping on the Pink card looks beautiful and the rest of the stamping and the embellishments go so well together you would never guess this was your first attempt at ‘Oriental’.
