Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Week 42

Morning all you Penny Black lovers out there....another great response to last week's DOODLING challenge.....lots of you admitted that you are not fond of doodling but hey well done for giving it a go...and I spotted one or two serial doodlers out there....great to know that I am not alone.

This week's challenge on Penny Black Saturday is "THINK SPRING" ....unfortunately......the beautiful Spring weather we had seems to have disappeared .....certainly in this part of the country anyway.....we are back to freezing cold winds....rain and even some snow flurries.

Onto this week's card which was not without it's problems.....don't know why....just having an off day...but this was the third attempt and still not entirely happy but didn't have time to start all over again......it happens.

Papers: WeR Memory Keepers...White Out Collection
Image: Penny Black "Hugs" Collection
Watering Can: Sizzix Die
Flowers: Quickutz Die
Felt Flowers and Ribbon from my stash
Alphabets: Mrs Grossman's Alphabet Stickers
By the time you are reading this....I will be chugging my way south on the train to Harrogate to the Great Northern Papercrafts Extravaganza.....to meet up with my fabulous bloggy buds......oooh....I am so excited....it's going to be a fabulous fun weekend and who knows...may even manage to have a little spend.
I love travelling by train....beats driving any day and the scenery down the east coast is truly
spectacular....from the rugged coastline of Aberdeenshire....to the beautiful beaches of the Kingdom of Fife and then as we are nearing Edinburgh that spectacular sight of the Forth Road and Rail Bridges....doesn't matter how often I do this journey....the scenery still delights me and then on to the beautiful coastline of Northumbria....down to Newcastle and then across Yorkshire to the beautiful city of York....just sit back...relax and enjoy.
And this card so reminds me that it's time to get out into the garden and tidy up all the leaves and debris from the winter months.....but at the moment....unless I work nightshift.....can't see it happening.....hubby is taking a week off work shortly....and thinks he will be having a week sitting on the sofa watching TV or relaxing with a cuppa....guess what...he's in for a shock...I have a list of things for him to do.

And we have a fabulous prize this week for one lucky winner
kindly donated by our lovely teamie Jackie
Looking forward to seeing all your fabulous SPRING cards this week.....will be popping over to see all your  creations when I get home on Monday and pop back tomorrow to see some of the sample cards I made with the fabulous new stamp sets from Craftwork Cards and remember to put your clocks forward tonight.....let's hope I remember....don't want to miss one minute of the show never mind an hour.
Hugs Kath xxxxxx

  14. Fab spring card Kath - love your adorable image! So hope you enjoyed Harrogate - how could you not with so many goodies to buy and buddies to meet?? I had to laugh hearing your love of the train ... I take the train to work each day and it's usually late, packed and uncomfortable ... and the view of Fiddlers Ferry power station just isn't the same lol!! So hope you had a great journey though!
