Penny Black Saturday Challenge...Week 63

Morning folks... yes it's Saturday and the sun has got his hat on in Bonnie Scotland.....and it's time for another challenge from Penny Black Saturday.
Once again a fabulous response to last week's colour combo challenge and lots and lots of gorgeous cards for me to drool over....you are such a talented bunch of Penny Black lovers......so let's see what you can come up with for this week's challenge which is........

STITCHING
machine stitching...hand stitching or a bit of faux stitching
whatever takes your fancy
Papers: MME....Merry Days of Christmas
Image: Penny Black "Whispers"
Papermania Pink Pearls
Anchor Sewing Thread
Flowers: Prima
I decided in my wisdom to try and do a satin type stitch on my flowers and boy did it take an absolute age.....but coffee at hand....I sat myself down in my comfy chair in the cubbyhole...."The Budster" fast asleep at my feet after his lunchtime walk and got to work and found it very relaxing albeit a bit time consuming....and little bit of faux stitching to finish off.....really must have a go at the old machine stitching...but by the time I have looked out the machine....and tried in vain to get the needle threaded....I have given up the will to live.
And for all you Penny Black addicts....take a look at the new members of the Penny Black family at Chez Kath....arrived in the post yesterday morning all the way from the lovely Dick at PB Stamps in the US....and aren't they just the cutest little dudes......
I'm sure they will be making an appearance on some cards real soon and what's with the clear nail polish.....a little tip to stop the wood on the stamping side of your rubber stamps getting marked with ink......apply 2 coats to the wood around the rubber...please don't get it on the rubber and to remove the coating used to protect the rubber when the stamps are made...press sellotape several times over the image....means you get a much clearer impression first time.
And we have another great prize for one lucky winner this week from our lovely teamie....Tracie
Penny Black Stickeroos......Unfolding
So Cute
So all you have to do is get your Penny Blacks looked out...ink pads at the ready and get stamping and stitching.....look forward to seeing what you all come up with this week....as per usual....I'm sure I will be in for a real treat.....happy crafting everyone......Hugs Kath xxxxxxx

am with you completely about the sewing machine, mine has actually made it through to the craft space - but the thought of threading it up, and then it will probably tangle up all its threads anyway - argh

  34. Hi there Kath -- I had to come back and tell you how delightful this card is. Your tedious time on the satin stitch makes this so very beautiful -- along with the little pearls and all the other details! And, of course, the colors are perfection. I couldn't thread my machine either -- so gave up on that for now -- but I loved the stitching challenge.
