Penny Black Saturday.....Week 62

Morning Folks and yes it's Saturday already.....where do the weeks go....more than half way through the year and fast heading towards Christmas....oh enough said about that.    Another great response last week to Beth's fabulous sketch.....I knew you would all love it just as much as we did.
The challenge this week on Penny Black Saturday is a colour one.......

BLUE TAN & CREAM
gorgeous colour combination

Image: Penny Black.....".Enjoy" Clear Stamp Set
Sentiment: Penny Black "Critter Party" Clear Stamp Set
Pink Petticoat....Tiny Typed Alphas
Hero Arts....."Whimsical Frames" Clear Stamp Set
Ink Pads: Tim Holtz Distress Inks....Brushed Corduroy...Faded Jeans
Tim Holtz....Distress Powder...Faded Jeans
Ranger Star Dust Stickles
Flowers: Prima
Inkssentials White Opague Pen
I had great fun with this one.....lots of messy fingers getting down and dirty with Tim Holtz.....no patterned papers just inking some fabulous linen look card stock with Distress Inks....and a bit of overstamping....the bird image was stamped with Brushed Corduroy and embossed with Distress Embossing Powder....Faded Jeans and then painted over with watered down Stickles.   I didn't have enough small buttons in the right colours.....so punched out small circles and added dots to create a button look and finished off with a bit of faux stitching.....great fun and makes me wonder why I need to have all these gorgeous papers.
And we have another fabulous prize for this week
from the lovely Jacqui at Simply Create

October Afternoon.....Daydream Collection
beautiful papers...alphabets...die cut stickers and rubber charms
absolutely gorgeous and I'm afraid my photography doesn't do them justice
Sending big hugs to our lovely teamie Jacqui who has just become a Grandma again...a beautiful bouncing baby girl Sienna......congratulations Jacqui......how wonderful.....I bet you are on the ceiling.
So it's time for you to look out your Penny Blacks and see what you can create with the colour combo....can't wait to pay you all a visit...I know I will be in for such a treat.... happy crafting everyone.
Hugs Kath xxxxxxx
P.S. to answer Brenda's question about blending the Distress Inks.....the secret is to use Tim's blending tool and sponges and always start off with a circular motion on your craft sheet....slowly moving onto the card.
