Allsorts Challenge # 17

Morning folks.....the weather has certainly improved over the weekend...and it's just as well..we were seriously thinking we might have to move to higher ground...couldn't believe the pics in the local newspaper..cars completely submerged on the lower floor of a car park in the town centre....this must be the first time in history we have had serious flooding in Aberdeen city.
And what have I been up to.....well apart from getting a real drookin (soaking) everytime "His Nibs" and I went for our stroll.....just dried out and time to go again.....I have been indoors crafting....busy busy as per usual and oh dear....thinking I am not going to have much time this week to enter my fave challenges until I saw this week's challenge over at Allsorts which is......

 SOMETHING FOR THE BOYS
well didn't that just work out perfecto....have just finished this little album for my grandson Brodie to put his first day at school pics in........will finish off decorating the inside pages once I get the pics.....

Papers & Images.....Nitwit Collections.....Kindergarten
Wooden Letters.....I have no idea where they came from
but I have boxes of them all in different colours
Bind-It-All
Ranger...Glossy Accents
Stars from stash
Did I manage to get to my favourite crafty shop...Simply Create at Alford on Friday.....yes I did eventually make it in the afternoon after a real faffing around morning......oh dear...more stuff added to the stash pile...gorgeous Making Memories Mistletoe Collection papers....I can't wait to get stuck into them....
and would you believe this very naughty set of Hero Arts Christmas Sentiment stamps just jumped right into my arms and clung on for dear life.....so how could I put them back on the shelf......

and to make matters even worse.....Jacqui tells me she has lots of the new Christmas Primas coming in next week...better prepare hubby for the bad news...and stock up on the oatmeal.....it's going to be porridge and oatcakes for the rest of the month.
Now are you all remembering that my little Christmas Give-Away closes today at noon.....will be back tomorrow to announce the winner and on Monday pm.....  "THE NEW CUBBYHOLE BLOG CANDY" will be posted........that's my job tonight.....need to get some Christmas Penny Black images inked up and stamped to add to the pile.....so I think I am in for a bit of a "STAMPATHON".....don't you.
And dear oh dearie me.....where are all the cards for this month's challenge over at GET FUNKY.....now you don't want folks to think that the GET FUNKY GANG are "billy no mates" do you !!!!....and blimey one of my Funky Hand mates who shall remain nameless....just about gave the old gal a heart attack this morning....announced bold as brass on our DT forum...."I AM EXPECTING ".....well mega shockaroonies.....nearly fell off the chair....news of this nature should be broken gently and yes a new edition to the family but it's a HAMSTER......and here was me thinking I was going to be an auntie again......oh well.....off to have a cuppa to get the blood pressure back to normal......catch up with you all tomorrow......happy crafting everyone......Hugs Kath xxxxxxx

  4. Morning Kath

Brill project, Brodie will adore it, so bright and inviting.

So pleased to read you have the dreadful problems with new crafty goodies attaching themselves to your basket as well, was beginning to think it was just my lack of self control.

Thanks for joining in the fun at Allsorts this week.

  8. Fantastic album. Your post certainly gave me a chuckle this morning with my coffee. I was thinking how much you and I are alike when it comes to shopping and poor hubby being on oatmeal because I have overspent. LOL

  9. Love the album Kath, what a great idea, it will fill up quicker than you think, grace started school this week, she love it, think it helps that she went to pre-school 3 full days a week last term.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, hope the weather up there gets better.

Now, my guess re. the 'pregnancy' in the Funky Hand camp would not have been Allison expecting a new furbaby... I thought maybe Jozza had been getting a bit broody! lol ;o)

Re. Get Funky, my entry will be in soon... am on my hols for two weeks! Woohoo!
