Papertake Weekly Challenge...Sketch 26

Morning folks....yes it's Monday morning.... the start of another working week and I know a bit of a thought...the hassle of the commute to work etc...... I am so lucky that I work from home and if I choose to...don't even need to get dressed.....while hubby and "The Budster" went off on their morning stroll yesterday.....I played around in the cubbyhole in my tatty old towelling dressing gown...hair like a bird's nest but happy as larry....and managed to do another challenge card.
The challenge this week from Papertake Weekly is another fabby sketch from my lovely crafty bud Dawny P and I couldn't resist playing some more with these gorgeous MME papers that I got from my lovely Fiskars buddy Ann at the SECC and one of my new stamp sets....from Inkadinkado...and don't you just love that name....the way it trips off the tongue.

Papers: MME Signature Christmas
Image: Inkadinkado....Holiday Sentiments
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads...Brushed Corduroy...Peeled Paint
Craftwork Cards: Oval Sentiments
Ribbon: American Crafts
Tim Holtz Distress Stickles....Antique Linen

Well folks....that's all from me today...off to get a few more challenge cards done and I think the old cubbyhole needs a bit of a tidy up after my crafty fest yesterday.....catch up with you all tomorrow.
Hugs Kath xxxxxx

  1. Oh I wish I worked from home. I have this week off and like you I shall spend at least one morning in my dressing gown. Not tatty though as my daughter got me a snazzy new one for my birthday. Dead posh from House of Fraser. Love the reindeer card. Such subtle colours.

  5. Wahhhh, I love it Mrs - gorge papers xxxx You always make my sketches look so fab, so thank you xxxx and thanks for popping over and joining us at PTW xxxx

PS - I can barely type cos I am so angry at what I just read on the Budster's post. Why Britan and why dogs? I've got a better idea. Lets do away with all the bigots, racists, murderers, rapists etc etc and let's include these 2 weirdos while we are at it. I'm not an expert but IMHO the world would be a far better place to live if we did that. I know it isn't the same issue as carbon footprinting, but perleeeeze!!! I'm all for saving the planet, I really am, but not at the expense of man's best friend. What do these fart-arses (scuse the language!!) think the blind and deaf would do without their guide dogs. And the police and armed services without their sniffer dogs. And that's just for starters. Total idiots!!!!

Grrrrr - you tell 'em Buddy xxxxx

  8. Great card, Kath. Hope you enjoyed the SECC - all those Hero Arts stamps. We were there on Saturday so sorry we couldn't meet up. Suzanne and I were so looking forward to meeting you; never mind, next year will come around in a flash.

Buddy - don't worry about these numpties. The world is full of them. I remember someone telling us to feed rat's milk to our babies because it's more environmentally friendly then cow's milk! No one listens to them anyway - they're all bams. Where would we be without woman's best friend?

  9. I know exactly what you mean with being fortunate working from home ... as I am in the exact same space and its just wonderful, after having worked for a boss and commuted to work 5 days a week for 24 years with even a month's break. So I count my blessings every day. Just love this latest Xmas creation of yours and its a beautiful take on the sketch.

  16. I like the card specially how you inked the scalloped edges.

As for Buddy's post I just couldn't believe my eyes. Those must be very sad persons I bet they've never loved a dog in their lives otherwise they wouldn't even dare to suggest something as stupid as that.
