A Wonderful Day

Morning folks.... do you ever have one of those days when it feels like all is well with the world....well yesterday was such a day....had a leisurely drive out to Simply Create in Alford soaking up the spectacular scenery we have in rural Aberdeenshire helped along by the fact that the sun definitely had his hat on.  It was lovely to relax and have a crafty chat with Jacqui over a cup of coffee and a ginormous slab of delicious shortbread but all good things must come to an end and too soon it's time to head home....with a bag of delicious goodies to play with from the oh so generous but ever so naughty Jacqui.  Once I got home I couldn't shake off the lazy mode feeling and to be honest I wasn't putting up much of a fight....deposited my bum on a seat in the garden with The Budster snoozing under the table and spent some time just chilling out. And did I finish my Hero Arts goodies card....you bet I did and there is no way it is ending up in the "NOT SURE" box.....I fell in love with this gorgeous Hydrangea stamp the minute I saw it......

Background created with Hero Arts..Dots and Flowers embossed with White Detail powder
inked over with Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad....Dusty Concord
Side Panel created with Hero Arts Stripes Pattern inked with Peeled Paint
Martha Stewart Border Punch

Sentiment: Hero Arts...Thinking of You
Chipboard Butterfly....Craftybitz
Pearls: Hobbyhouse
Ribbon: American Crafts

and a little bit of crafty cheating.....the stem on this image stops short of the last set of leaves but I wanted to tie my ribbon around it.....so restamped the image and cut out the stem section cutting off the leaves and added it on to make the stem longer.....can you see the join.....say NO...unless you want me to have a hissy fit.
And would you believe it doesn't fit in with any of my favourite challenges this week.....so it was just a card made for fun.....but I guarantee you might be seeing rather a lot of this gorgeous image.
Today is Brodie's school sports day....fingers crossed that the weather holds up and no doubt there will be some fun photo opportunities.   Will catch up with you all tomorrow for Sneaky Peek Friday.
Hugs Kath xxx
Edited to add: sadly yesterday turned into a very dark day....and my heart goes out to the families and friends of all those innocent people killed in Whitehaven....brings you right back down to earth with a bump.
