Papertake Weekly Challenge

Morning folks.....apologies in advance but I have my moaning minnie hat on today....feeling a bit sorry for myself and whether you like it or not it's time to share my tales of woe with you all.....it has been a while since I entered any challenges and despite having withdrawal symptoms and lots of ideas running around in my head when I try to get them onto paper it all goes to pot.....know the feeling.   I suspect Mr Mojo has gone off in disgust at my lack of enthusiasm and the creative juices have evaporated with all the gorgeous weather we've been having....but it's a bit of a worry when the usual kick up the butt hasn't worked either.   But I came across the cards I made for my demo day at Simply Create while having a much needed clear out of my photo folders....they all had a sewing theme and I never got round to sharing them with you and dah..dah....I think this one fits the bill...OK it only has a little bit of faux stitching but beggars can't be choosers so I hope it qualifies for the challenge this week over at Papertake Weekly which is

IN STITCHES

Background created with Hero Arts...Stripes Background and Distress Ink...Brushed Corduroy
Fabric...Modabake shop
Sewing Machine & Sentiment from Hero Arts Digi Kit....Sew Crafty
Twill Tape: Stampin Up
Buttons and twine from stash

Well the gorgeous weather has disappeared and left us with drizzly rain and in a desperate effort to ditch the crafty doldrums and get Mr Mojo back onside....I am taking a trip out to my favourite crafty Aladdin's cave...yes you've guessed correct...I am off to have a natter and a coffee with the lovely Jacqui and Anne at Simply Create...and suss out what delicious new goodies have arrived since my last visit.....and then home to park my bum on the sofa for an exciting afternoon of tennis......Men's Semi Finals......who will get through Andy or Rafa....could go either way...definitely too tough to call.
Catch up with you all tomorrow over at Penny Black Saturday and we are having a big celebration with yummy prizes from our favourite stamp company.....PENNY BLACK.

I think the card is spot on - the very definition of a sewing machine must be about stitching!!!

  7. Hi Kath, stunning cards as usual. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. Me too watching tennis this afternoon, Rafa to win in my mind and the final on Sunday. Have been following the young Laura Robson and there's a future champion in the making I reckon. Quite a devious little minx when she puts her mind to it. Oh well, have a good day with your purse or credit card and hugs and tickles behind the ear for the hairy fellow.
    Take care - Denise XX

  18. Love this card Kath. If everyone thinks it looks gorgeous I can tell them it is even more gorgeous in real life lol!

Wasn't it great how it turned into a beautiful day in spite of how miserable it was to start with?

Lucky you having a visit to Alford. I have been good and got my housework done this morning before work. Then I finished a card for the Penny Black challenge. And I've been good and taken not of what you said at the demo day about inking the edges!!
