Less is More...perhaps not

Morning folks and surprise surprise another challenge card or so I thought......it's been an absolute age since I've had time to do two challenges in the space of a few days.  I am working on lots of new stuff for workshops...nothing I can share at the moment.  And with nothing to post in my crafty diary....it was a great excuse to ditch the work hat for half an hour and have a little play....to be honest I've been itching to play along with the lovely Chrissie and Mandi over at Less Is More...where the challenge this week is......

OFF THE EDGE

Hero Arts: Starburst Lace inked with Distress Ink..Broken China
Sizzlits...Flowers Branch & Leaves Die
Flowers: Hero Arts...Screen Shadow inked with Broken China and punched out with
Fiskars Flower Punch
Pearls: Hobby House
Sentiment: Hero Arts...Made With Love

But I have fallen at the first hurdle and won't be entering the challenge....oh yes that old nemesis of mine...jumping in with both feet without reading the instructions properly....you would think I would have learned by now.....should have stamped directly onto the card but the old habits of adding that extra layer die hard...look on the bright side however....I did manage to restrain myself from doing the old inky edge thing although I did add a couple of rows of stitching....well it was just too naked without it. ...so perhaps I am not as Less Is More as I thought but hey it was fun and it's back to the drawing board for next week.
Catch up with you all tomorrow over at WOYWW.
Hugs Kath xxx

  6. Those rules are tough aren't they! I still think this is a pretty much "Less is More" card though. I mean, there's oodles of white space and the design is refreshingly simple. I think it is quite beautiful.

  9. I agree with all the above comments, it is still a gorgeous card and considering your usual layering style I think you were quite restrained! It is very effective.

  23. I have been entering the LIM challenges and to be quite honest when they first started up it was cards like this one of yours that I thought we would be doing. Nice, clean, crisp cards, without being filled with too many flowers, too many swirls or pearls or whatever.
    Fantastic card.
