Simply Create

Morning folks.....can I just say a huge thank you to the lovely crafty ladies who braved the wintry weather on Saturday to travel to my class at Simply Create...wouldn't have been surprised at lots of cancellations but not one chickened out.   When I set off it was blowing a blizzard and driving in those conditions is certainly not a barrel of laughs especially if you don't check that your wiper blades are de-iced before you leave.   Did wonder why every swipe of the blades left me peering through a foggy haze until I stopped in a lay-by to investigate...but after a bit of scraping the world became a much clearer place....lesson learned folks...can't believe my own stupidity.
so we set to work at a cracking pace as the snow continued to fall all afternoon....
and finished our notebooks on time

Well done girls...you were stars as always...hope you all had a safe journey home and a big thank you to my lovely buddy Anne...my very own Girl Friday.
Hadn't quite realised how much snow had fallen whilst I was having fun and eating far too much fudge and macaroon bar which by the way was absolutely yummy...thanks Aud....but the journey home was a nightmare....I crawled home wedged in the middle of a snail's pace convoy of about 20 cars but this time I did have the sense to de-ice the wiper blades so although the world was passing by very slowly at least I could see where I was going.
I am a real list and notebook girl but the cubbyhole is full to bursting with the blighters....so The Furry Boy has decided it needs a new home.....unclaimed....see post on Wednesday..16th....
And after one of those "meaning to get lots done but failing miserably" kind of days yesterday....the cubbyhole beckons once again....just when I think I am catching up the crafty list has another ideas....but the good news is the snow disappeared as quickly as it arrived.
Catch up with you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  6. what crafters would do, right? reminds me of the postman's motto and making it for crafters - "Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these crafters from the swift completion of their appointed projects." the notebooks turned out wonderful, so it was worth it!

  11. Hi Kath, fabby notebook. Looks like you had a busy class of enthusiastic ladies. Pity about the nightmare journey. I noticed Carol said her journey home hadn't been a lot of fun. Over here near the sea we had showers but nothing that lay and after about 1pm wasn't even very wet.

Must get somework done this week, especially with Jacqui's lovely stamps.

    Kat xx

  12. Thanks Kath for a brilliant class. I was a little worried when I saw the snow falling but we made it and were inspired. I see that your photo has exposed me as a "standing up crafter" but hey ho ... each to his own! Enjoy the NEC.
