What's on my Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks...winter's back in the North East of Scotland....light fall of snow overnight and it's chilly chilly....in fact I am almost sitting on the radiator at the moment so it's looks like it's going to be a snuggled up cubbyhole day after I don the Michelin man gear for our morning stroll.   Crikey it's Wednesday already...another week flying in and time to join in the fun over at Julia's place....WOYWW where lots of crafty folks throw open the doors to their crafty spaces and let us all have a good mooch around.
So what's on my workdesk today....well no surprise seeing that the cubbyhole is in mega Fiskars mode at the moment....the brand new Border and Border and Corner punches from the 2011 catalogue.  Great new Border Punch designs and I have a sneaky feeling that the bracket is going to be a flyer so if you can get your crafty mitts on it....don't do what Mrs Dithery Knickers normally does or you'll lose out.
Loving the new Border and Corner Designs....no faffing around with silly measurements and no limit to the size of mat as long as you are working in 1" increments.....some sneaky peeks of the NEC samples....

and yes I am still in love with this super cute birdie boy.....
Although I work for Fiskars I am not paid to promote their products on my blog so when I wax lyrical about something it's because I truly like it.  Fiskars make great quality punches and if you treat them with respect they will last a lifetime  Please don't try to punch through thick cardstock....if you feel any resistance STOP...unlike the woman at the SECC last year who informed us that if it wouldn't punch she put it on the floor...stood on it and then was surprised when it broke....a shockeroonie statement that almost sent my Fiskars matey Lorraine and I into orbit.
Yesterday turned out to be a no worky fun kind of a morning.....my lovely buds Anne and Debbi popped in for coffee...a chat and of course lots of hilarity....and being Pancake Day we just had to get stuck in....Debbi with a little drizzle of syrup.....
mine smothered in Strawberry Jam....I don't do anything in half measures
and of course "Mr Ever Hopeful" was never far away and oh boy is he a dab hand at the "look at me..I haven't had anything to eat for 5 minutes" face....
Catch up with you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  8. Cor who's a lucky lady all those punches to play with. Well I must say not having to use 'silly measurements' as you call is brilliant, I've given up so many times on the 'other' punches.

  17. And I thought I was the only one who gets frustrated with the silly measurements - I spent all of Sunday morning trying to work out some methodology whereby I could use a variation of measurements - some people are temperamentally suited to measuring/preciseness & I'm one of them but that had me throwing my arms up in the air for my punching didn't match exactly - shall look out for the Fiskars & I love the look of that liitle flower punch.........I'm hunting.
