Penny Black Saturday Challenge...Week 154

Morning folks..Saturday comes around again and it's time for another challenge over at Penny Black Saturday...the first challenge of June...can you believe we are almost halfway through the year...scary isn't it...before you know...oh no I'm not even thinking about it and no way am I mentioning the "C" word.  And after two glorious summer days..it looks like we are heading for the pants weather again....c'est la vie.
Big thank you to all those who joined in our Girlie Girl challenge last week with lots of fabulous cards and a big slap on the wrists for me....so sorry I didn't manage to get round and visit you all.
The challenge this week is.....
DOODLEBUG...
no need to panic...we just want to see some doodling on your creations...you can keep it simple with some faux stitching or go doodling mad...it's lots of fun...so have a go
and surprise surprise a rare occurrence in the cubbyhole this week....yes it's a card...
I made the background with a Creative Expressions Mask...Polka Dots....inking through the mask with Distress Ink using Brushed Corduroy and a bit of Cut 'n Dry and then with the mask still in place doodled around some of the dots with a Fine Liner Pen.  And I make absolutely no apologies for using this gorgeous Penny Black Image...Cheerful...my new favourite.   Paper pieced the flower with Bo Bunny Time Piece Dots and the leaves with Chocolate Journal...adding some of my favourite brown gingham ribbon and a Craftwork Cards In Circle Message...finishing off with a bit of doodling around the edges.
We have two yummy prizes this week for two lucky winners who will be chosen at random and announced next Saturday.....
from

4059K Hang on Hedge
and from The Ribbon Girl
5 packs of 10 metres of Divine Bakers Twine
plus you can choose any 2 packs of 10 metres of Button Twine from the website
thanks a bunch to our lovely sponsors for supplying us with yet more yummy prizes.

Mr Sunshine may have temporaily taken his hat off...but here's a little something to put the sunshine back in your life..a preview of a yummy summer collection of ribbons available from Fantastic Ribbons...their biggest summer crafting selection yet...with loads on the rolls..includes new satin edge organzas (10 metres on a roll) in aqua lime and beauty pink...new border lace and some old favourites...dotted grosgrain in sunshine yellow...new 6mm narrow satins in Bright Kiwi and Baby Maize and if that wasn't enough...all packaged in their famous dispenser.  16 rolls of summer sunshine (120 metres in total) and hold onto your galluses....normal RRP....£25 but for a limited time only.....£15 and if you do the maths folks....13p per metre...a super duper summer bargain....click HERE to get yours.
Have fun whatever you are doing this weekend...look forward to seeing what you all get up to in the doodling department and why don't you pop over and join me tomorrow in my new paint studio.

Love the colours on this & it's one of my favourites from the new collection. That brown gingham is a joy. Husband safely off the roof - the tiles were very hot & he couldn't stay up there for too long. He's washing the windows today.
Pretty hot here down south.
Have a good weekend.

Gorgeous card - i must admit i had resisted this beautiful flower stamp, that was until I have been seeing your cards from the last 2 weeks - i could not resist anymore! love the doodling - must try to make a new Penny Black card and join more in the challenges.

Must come back - it has been very hectic reently personally due to my mothers illness. However i am not sure if i came back and left a message, i did receive your parcel. Thank you so much. I am loving the hemp cord - and i will now request it from my local shop.
