What's On My Workdesk Wednesday

Morning folks...it's Wednesday the 21st of December...only 4 days left before the big day and surprise surprise the christmas timetable seems to be on schedule which means I'm here to join in the fun with Julia and her buddies over at WOYWW.  So what's on my workdesk today...well I'm flitting between the kitchen and the cubbyhole...the Christmas Cake is iced and once it's set will be getting a festive look with some yummy Christmas Ribbon and if I remember the safe place I put them in after demolishing last year's cake...some ever so cute snowmen.
Lots on today's agenda....starting off with our morning trot around the block followed by a visit to the dentist before I dash home to entertain my lovely buddies Debbi and Charlotte - soup/sandwich and a good old blether is on the lunch menu today.
Then I'll be cranking up the oven to cook the ham and roast beef ready for the Christmas Feast and while it works it's magic I might just skive off to the cubbyhole to play with the new arrivals...my Kraft With Colour DT Project Kit from Craftwork Cards which is absolutely gorgeous...

choc-a-bloc as always with lots of delicious goodies...love the printed Kraft and Fusion Papers...those fabulous die cut flowers...yummy candy...messages in colours to match along with 25 cards and envelopes and an ideas sheet from the lovely and mega talented Julie Hickey...
and a special surprise...each Project Kit comes with a free copy of the Christmas Edition of Cards Magazine..so be quick if you want to get your crafty mitts on this great kit while stocks last.

  I'm off to get die-cutting and make some for my Christmas table...

    Morning Kath that cake looks Delicious !except dont like fruit cake..lol.Those tress are fab just seen some on hels blog they make fab decorations .Havent got time this year but defo for next.Have fab fun filled day by the sounds things.

    Yummy looking cake there Kath - I do admire multi-talented people. I'm more likely to spend my time eating cakes rather than making them.

    Now the question is did Buddy get a lick in or not before that icing went on? Won't answer that one will we Buddy? Those trees look brilliant & I was sorely tempted but no...... the tree still needs to come out of hibernation from the attic where it's been scaring off the mice. All the best in finding the snowmen.

    Ohh look at that yummy cake! I still haven't marzipaned mine yet! Hope Buddy got to lick out the icing bowl, that boy needs a bit of sugar to wake him up, lol!! Lovely goodies on the desk too and I hope you're having fun with Mr Holtz!! Just don't make Mr Buble jealous ok!!     Mmmmm just give me your address and I'm a coming over (I could bring a Christmas Spice cake?)! Those little trees would make great place name settings.     Hi Kath, the cake looks good,even though I don't like fruit cake but I love the icing and marzipan.Can't wait to see the finished cake.
    I love Tim's trees, but I have a heck of a job getting these rosettes to sit still whenever I make one!

    Hope you had a lovely day Kath. Think I'll ice my cake tomorrow and make meringue nests to take to Catriona's on Boxing Day. I've got my mince pies, shortbread and 2 kinds of tablet all ready. I've even made gluten free tablet for Mhairi. Just realised I need to make gluten free sponge cos she wants Tiramisu for pudding on Sunday. Thought I had everything I needed till she came up with some ideas for me, trust her!!

    Might get time to try Tim's rosette tree after Christmas lol.

    Everything is all so yummy from begin to end here! Mum makes me a cake and we make it last until April. People who eat don't eat fruit cakes are from a different planet. Yours looks divine.     Well that takes me back a bit, Royale Icing, havent done any since I developed my Tremor, and since I have just treated Daughter to the cricut Cake I do NOT expect to have to do or buy a cake next year, watch me have to buy one though lol
