No excuse now...

Morning folks...It's been a fun week but before I share what has caused all this joy in the cubbyhole I have a sneaky feeling even the weather's been caught up in the Olympic fever that's gripping the UK...oh yes in my neck of the woods the sun is going for a world record and considering the summer we've had already...2 scorching days in a row may just qualify for a gold medal.
The cubbyhole's been knee deep in fabric felt and lots of stitching...a bit of a change from paper ink and double sided tape...could this be yet another addiction.  The Sizzix projects are done and dusted but before I file away the dies I thought I would have a little playtime and make myself a case for my specs...that essential piece of cubbyhole equipment that I can't live without. You may be amazed to learn that I have about 6 or 7 pairs of reader specs strewn all over the place...in the car..the bedroom...the kitchen...the family room and the cubbyhole but the pair that should live in my handbag never seem to be there when I need them...so thanks to the lovely Mary and Andrea at The Ribbon Girl for sending me one of their fabulous new Mini Makes Kit to have fun with....
I now have a new spectacle case which will hold 2 pairs and will be taking up permanent residence in the big zipped pocket of my Tim Holtz Tote...no excuse now for wandering around M&S like a lost soul peering at sizes...

I'm off to play with the rest of the goodies from this gorgeous Mini Makes Kit...make sure you pop over bright and early tomorrow for my Monday Morning Ribbon Girl Give-away

  1. Good Morning, Just found your Blog and Boy! am I glad. I just love that little glasses case. Off to have a look at the bits and pieces I have. This would be a great thing for me going on holiday rather than my hard glasses case.
    Thank you for the inspiration.

  3. Good morning Kath from the equally sunny Cheshire, also two day in a row! You definitely deserve a gold medal for all the bad summer weather you have had. Your glasses case is so pretty, this will keep your glasses safe and also polished too. On to another day at the Olympics.......crafty hugs, Anne x

  13. Love your glasses case Kath, that'll come in handy. I went to work on Friday afternoon without my specs. Managed ok but had to peer a bit.

Just watched Andy Murray getting his gold! Saw some of the match but couldn't really watch it so went to watch Barbara Gray instead and looked over now and then.

  14. Oh, Kath! I am in a whole new world of "readers"!! After beign near sighted all my life, my cataract removal surgery left me needing only "readers" and it's been a struggle keeping track of them! Different ones for computer, reading, crafting, etc! I now own 10 pair and two pair of sunglasses!! I don't think a case would help unless it was sewn to my forehead!! Love your work, and your blog!! Hugs, Judy
