I'm Eating My Hat Again...

Hi folks...yes I'm eating my hat again because I had a real "ye of little faith" moment when the news broke that Ranger and TH were launching a brand new product at CHA...namely Distress Paints...
I wasn't blown away to be honest...I know that you're probably thinking "wash your mouth out woman right now" but why would I need more paint when the cubbyhole has more than I will ever use in my lifetime...Annie Sloan Chalk Paint...Paperartsy Fresco Finish and every colour imaginable in the Ranger Paint Dabber Collection but perhaps I was ill and running a high temperature because once I watched the video of Tim playing with his new babies at CHA...click HERE to check it out...I was doing a furious about turn...back pedalling as fast as my little legs could carry me and to make amends I'm eating a great big portion of humble pie...yes how wrong was I...I might have known that anything that Ranger and Tim Holtz cook up is going to be fabulous...so unlike any other paint on the market...another "innovative...thinking out of the box and taking your creativity to yet another level" product and I can't wait for them to hit our shores...in fact I have a little space ready and waiting...
My CHA wish list has gone stratospheric...far too many TH goodies to mention but you know how much I love my stamps and I'll be stalking the internet waiting for these boys to hit the shops...
But while I dream of all my Timmie goodies arriving in the cubbyhole...life goes on...I'm off to the hairdresser to have the old barnet seriously chopped followed by a visit to the dentist...yes a fun day in store and with even more snow added last night to what has already fallen...it may be a dig out the car or resort to Shanks Pony kind of a day.
I'll see you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  3. You're so organised, you even have a space for new stuff cleared and waiting. I've just be to look at the Distress paints in action and Wow! they do look good. We've actually got snow here this morning, it's been threatening all week, so I knew it wouldn't be long. I hope it doesn't last, wrap up and have a good day.

  6. Thanks for the link Kath, these look brilliant especially for somebody like me who doesn't like inky fingers and doesn't quite know where to start with inks.

  7. Hi Kath, so glad you said it first, I felt exactly the same until I watched the video....there is no hope for us! The new paints look so versatile though, much better than anything else I have seen so far - might just buy a couple..........to start with. Hope the trip to the dentist is OK. Hugs, Anne x

Hope you had a good day and not too much snow. We've been very lucky here, there's hardly any at all.

  14. I had exactly the same reaction---oh bummer, paint! After all I've got tons of the stuff. But then after seeing what he can do with it??? May have to re-think that. Then again there is the issue of the wallet screaming when I pull it out of my purse....darn thing is LOUD!
LOL. Hope that all in all it was a good day,
