"12 Tags of 2013"

Hi folks...now here's a surprise...posting 2 days in a row despite the absolute DIY mayhem going on around here at the moment or should I say because of it...in order to keep the little bit of sanity I have left...I fled to the cubbyhole for some much needed crafty therapy...well it was either that or be carted off to the nearest asylum in a straitjacket muttering to myself. And whilst I was making yesterday's DT card for Penny Black Saturday I thought I would spin it out and have a little play with this month's tag for...

I'm loving Tim's new Remnant Rubs and we might have known that they wouldn't just be your run of the mill rub-on's...oh NO...love how they resist the Distress Inks...a real cool look...you can get yours HERE...
and only one "adapt and overcome" moment this month...I don't have the new enamelled tags YET...so I covered a metal circle with Picket Fence Distressed Paint and went to town with the Remnant Rubs but a bit of an oops moment...I forgot to give it a coat of Glossy Accents to create the all important enamelled look...obviously I was itching to get back to the kitchen make-over...NOT...it just goes to show that you shouldn't believe everything you read.
The Blogger Extraordinaire aka The Furry Boy will be back to keep you company tomorrow...announcing his first give-away winner and I do believe he has another one up his sleeve. Me...I'm off to have some more kitchen make-over fun.
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Hi Kath, bet you will be glad when the decorating is complete, the upheaval is so upsetting but worth it in the end. Love your tags, i am not really into this style but admire other peoples work.

  2. Even though I do like all the TH-stuff I never do things like this myself so seeing your tag is just a treat. Take it easy Kath, ignore the kitchen from time to time and do something fun....cuddles for Buddy too!!

  6. Hi Kath, goodness you were quick off the mark! Your tag is fabulous and a great take on Tim's. I am the opposite of you, I can barely get in my craft room which is piled to the rafters with stuff from downstairs whilst the Builders work their magic - every so slowly downstairs! Hugs, Anne x

  7. Good Morning Kath. I love your tag, the colours are beautiful and looks very tactile too. Take a break too and give the Furry Boy an extra biscuit for all he does to entertain us. Hugs Rita xxx
