A little birdie...

Hi folks...happy 4th of July to all our buddies in the USA.
I've been cracking on with the DIY and it's ground breaking "you heard it here first" news time...just one more door to gloss and that's the utility room finished...
everything is looking ever so WHITE...I may need to root out the old sun specs...those things that are rarely used and are probably gathering dust in a drawer somewhere but to achieve that blindingy white look it's taken 2 coats of primer...2 coats of undercoat and one coat of gloss...1 room down and 3 still to go (4 doors back and front, 5 coats on each...you can do the maths) so the painting crew are not jumping for joy just yet.
And whilst on my hands and knees trying to focus on the brain numbing task of painting skirting boards I had one of those lightbulb moments...why don't I make up a board for my Hobbycraft demos showing the different materials The Fuse will cut...just like the one that my lovely buddy Pete Hughes from Sizzix showed on Create and Craft...problem is Pete used a teeny weeny heart and fitted them all into a photo frame...I've decided to use my favourite cheeky chappie birdie who is not quite so little I have to say...this little chap was die cut from white card covered with layers of lace...
but my flock may require a piece of mountboard of gigantic proportions...
will I get it in the car...will my wall sized mural fit through the doors of Hobbycraft...I may have to admit defeat on this one and scurry back to the drawing board.
But we'll be back to the crafty stuff tomorrow...tres exciting things to share...my dear friend and long time bloggy buddy Kim Costello is launching her very own range of stamps...something she has wanted to do for ages and I'm so happy that her dream is finally coming true...she has been sharing sneaky peeks on the Paperbabe Stamps blog so pop over for a little preview and I'll see you all tomorrow at 8.00am on the dot for the Launch Party.
