From Me to You...

Hi folks...crikey what's happened to the weather...there was a definite Autumn chill in the air on Sunday and just when I thought I might have to look out the ski-ing long johns...certainly cheaper than turning on the old central heating...the Sun decides to come out and play again...wish he'd make his mind up one way or the other because I'm finding it hard enough to get back in the crafty swing as it is without the temptation of sitting in the garden and enjoying what is probably the last days of Summer.
Not to mention the strange feeling of "it's just me and the Furry Boy in the cubbyhole" again after all the fun of the Tim Holtz Event...definitely missing the wonderful company of my new found crafty buddies...they were such a fun bunch...mad as a box of frogs to be honest but right up my street and folks after my own heart...
From L to R...Alison...Chris...Brenda...Sue...Annie and right there in the front....Rita and Jenny
they all stayed over on the Wednesday night and from what I hear...totally rocked The Windmill...so disappointed I didn't think of that but perhaps it's a blessing in disguise that this old fun crafter was missing otherwise we would have probably ended up out on the street looking for last minute emergency accommodation.
I know from the comments on my blog that lots of you would have loved to spend an afternoon in the company of  the creative genius Tim Holtz so as a teeny weeny consolation...I've got some little bits and pieces from the class to give-away...
Compendium of Curiosities II
(not my personalised copy I hasten to add...no way will I be parting with that little treasure)
3 Distress Markers...
Vintage Photo Ink Pad...
Chit Chat Stickers...
Remnant Rubs...
Journaling Tickets...
Tissue Tape...
Paper String...
Glossy Accents...
all you have to do is leave a comment here before 8pm on Sunday...telling me what your favourite Ranger/Tim Holtz product is and I'll announce the winner on Monday. Can't believe I've done it again...this is becoming a habit...another oops...oops...oops...senior moment....probably because I'm still in "have no idea what day of the week it is" mode so I hope you will pop back tomorrow for the temporarily renamed "Monday Wednesday Monthly Ribbon Girl Give-Away".
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. hi kath - hate being the first to comment - they win so rarely but...
your giveaway is fantastic - read your blog everyday and so enjoy your style in both cards and writing. I couldn't live without glossy accents both for decorative and utilitarian purposes (that stuff will glue anything together never to come apart)

OMGoodness what an amazing giveaway....I am drooling.....to answer the question I think my fave product has to been my Distress Ink pads as I use them every with every single card, even if it's just to distress the corners of the papers! I also love making unique backing papers with them just by adding lots of colours. I am gradually building up my stock of colours and I don't have the one in the photo..LOL. Thanks so much for offering this and I am really looking forward to seeing your makes x

  5. Lucky you to have been on a Tim Holtz adventure! Thanks for passing on your happiness with this amazing giveaway. I forgot to say what my favourite products was .... so I deleted the other comment so that it wouldn't be counted twice. Hard to choose just one, but I'd say Distress Inks - there is just so many techniques you can do with them.

  18. What a lovely photo, how wonderful, I love making new friends, sounds like you had a wonderful time. Wish I could have shared it with you.
Never mind, thanks for the chance to win some goodies, don't often enter these draws as I never win anyway, but could n't resist this one. I think the best Tim Holzt product is ( and I'm sure you will agree with me here) is Tim Holtz himself without whom no of this would be possible, the man is a genius.

  24. Hi Kath I must admit this is my first comment on your blog, however I visit you every day! It's such a lovely picky of all your blogging friends. It is so difficult to choose just one favorite of TH products, they are all just so yummy. But one I must choose. MMMM I just love all his die's I don't no what I would do without them, I confess to being a TH dieaholic! They all have such a great original look to them and crafting with them is easy. It's closely followed by his distress inks, the two work hand in hand. Thank you Kath for a chance to win such fab goodies, good luck to everyone. XX

  25. Oh what a lucky girl that you got to snag some personal instruction and fun with the 'God of All Things Awesome'! It's clear to see just from your faces how much you all enjoyed it. I was so excited for you when you were able to snag the spot in his class and now you want to share some of the fun with us? You are too sweet! If I have to try to pick faves, I'd have to say distress ink and stamps. The pads seem to never get put away in my cubbyhole and I most often reach for the stamps when I need a starting point. Thanks so much, Beth Anne

  38. wow what a prize! I think my favourite TH products are the Distress Inks. I couldn't make a card without using at least one of the gorgeous colours. I even adapted an old cassette tape storage box to house them in because my hubby refused to put up a wee shelf. Necessity is the mother of invention after all. Valxxx

I would really love a set of distress markers. But sadly I can't see that coming about. Have sadly been told not fit to work since my chemo last year and have just been finished. Just have to wait and save the pence. I bet you had an amazing time. Love and hugs x ChrisB

  41. Hi Kath, fab pics TFS and for the chance to win some yummy goodies. Because I'm on a very tight budget the one thing that I could not, now, live without is my Distress Inks and ink pads.
I can't only have one because I use both and they have changed the way I craft. I had no idea I could make such wonderful backgrounds, colour things beautifully - all us nutty stampers know what I mean. I love all the stuff you can get these days but it's my distress inks and stamps that I could not live without lol Karen x
