A slight hiccup...

Hi folks...I'm back in the cubbyhole but not quite up to speed...there's a slight hiccup in the firing on all cylinders department...I seem to have picked up a dose of the sniffles on my weekend travels...this "supposed to be organised for all eventualities" Grandma wasn't suitably clad for the torrential downpour in Glasgow which meant sitting in the venue for a couple of hours with soaking wet hair but Mr Neurofen is on the case and is kicking it's butt as we speak.
With lots to do on the crafty list and only 3 days left before I'll be heading to Leeds for this weekend's workshop...I need to get a wiggle on and deal with this little lot...the cubbyhole has been invaded by 300 cones...
no way did The Furry Boy and his Mum fancy a pine cone treasure hunt in the now knee deep in mud soggy forest so I popped into my local wholesale florist...only problem is they are wired in bunches of 6 and are going to take up a lot of room in my suitcase so time for drastic measures...snipping each one apart...a bit of a tedious task but hopefully a "take up less space" solution.
And if that goes to plan...perhaps I'll be able to have a little playtime with the happy mail that arrived last week-a parcel of burlap yumminess and other bits and pieces from my bestest bud...the lovely Dawny P...
and a bumper pack of new goodies from Craftwork Cards...
A little birdie tells me...we may be playing with some of these at this weekends workshop and I have a sneaky feeling that I already have some of the paper pads...so expect another give-away soon.
See you all tomorrow

  8. Just catching up again. I expect you picked up your cold in court - hope you feel better soon. I know what you mean about gallows humour - suffered a bit with that when I was a nurse - only way to get through some days! But there's nothing like a "Blue Peter" moment to bring you back down to earth - good luck with the cones. Can't wait to see what you will do with them and your other goodies....X
