"12 Tags of 2014"...June

Hi folks...it's that time again...when us crafty folks have fun playing along with Tim over at...
and the June Tag sure is a beauty...love the watercolour stencil effect...those gorgeous summery colours and woohoo a bonus tutorial too...on how to tie Paula's beautiful bow
time for me to put the kettle on....pop over to Tim's Blog...sit back and enjoy while  the Maestro walks us through the technique. Tim did say that this technique is all about experimenting with the amount of misting required and that it may take a few tries to get it how you want it to look. But this was one of my favourite techniques from Creative Chemistry 102 so what could possibly go wrong (famous last words) and who's to know anyway if the waste paper bin is full to brimming with failed attempts.
However they do say that pride comes before a fall and that fleeting moment of "no adapt and overcome this month" elation turned to blind "I might have to eat my words" panic when I discovered one lonely tag and one itty bitty sheet of watercolour paper in the TH stash box...what a state of affairs...what on earth are the cubbyhole ordering department playing at. And it's certainly not the right time to be fooling around doing your own thing when supplies are right down to the wire and the pressure is on to nail it first time...lifting off that stencil sure was a breath holding scary moment.

I'm determined to keep on playing with this fabulous technique but with no tags or watercolour paper to work on...it's going to be an adapt and overcome day after all.
See you tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx
