"The Magic of Christmas" Advent Wreath...

Hi folks...my statement about the weather has come back to haunt me...OK it's still sunny but the warm bit no longer applies...perhaps it's time to look out the chilly morning stroll gear. It's all go in the cubbyhole so back to the crafty stuff and the last project we made on Saturday at The Retreat...an Advent Wreath with the gorgeous "The Magic of Christmas" Paper Pad from Craftwork Cards...
This is a workshop I taught many years ago and it was so popular that I ended up teaching it 6 times...by which time I was sick of the sight of it and swore NEVER EVER to do it again but time passes and because it fitted perfectly with the papers...I decided to resurrect it one last time and we had great fun curling and rolling the cone shaped petals...

decoupaging this gorgeous robin...
each petal decorated with dates cut from one of the papers in the pad...
finishing off with a seam binding bow and twine...
I'll be sharing a tutorial on how to make the wreath some time next week but join me tomorrow for a rather shocking revelation.
Hugs Kath xxx

  14. This is beautiful, Kath. I've never seen an Advent calendar like this. The first thought that struck me was that you could make it out of recycled Christmas cards!
