Hallelujah...Hooray and Hoop-de-doo

Hi folks...I'm dancing a jig and shouting Hallelujah...Hooray and Hoop-de-doo...I'm over the moon that the kitting marathon is history and I've come out the other side in one piece...all packed up ready for Mr Hermes to pick up today and fingers crossed...deliver safely to Birmingham...
I think I shot myself in the foot with this workshop project...creating a water colour background on one sheet of card is a piece of cake...on hundreds it's an entirely different ball game...
 requiring an industrial sized mister
but where would I be without my trusty Fiskars best friend who made light work of cutting 5 sheets of 350gsm cardstock at a time...like a knife through butter
the last cut as crisp as the first thanks to the "guaranteed never to go blunt or need replacement" blade...
but hey it's water under the bridge now...
and this boy has been his usual "takes everything in his stride" laid back handsome self whilst all around him there's been absolute kitting chaos...
so as a special treat...we're having a day out...me and my boy tramping the hills and dales together...blowing away the kitting cobwebs whilst Dad stays home to wait for Mr Hermes.
See you all tomorrow

"It's All About Words"

Hi everyone...it was my turn to post the Wednesday Tutorial over at Inspiration Journal...you may well be waiting for the new Tim Holtz goodies to arrive at a craft store near you so in the meantime I thought I'd revisit some oldies but still goodies...a killing 2 birds with one stone opportunity to also get more bang for your buck from the sentiment and small icon stamps you may have in your stash and make an "All About Words" journal/planner...

and to see the full tutorial...pop over to Inspiration Journal.
I'm making a final push this morning to finish the Fiskars kitting marathon then heading off for a pampering session to get the old crafty body back up to speed...well as speedy as things get at my age...the days of running for a bus are long gone. Enjoy your weekend whatever you have planned.
See you all tomorrow

Putting Things In Perspective...

Hi folks...a little play on words in today's blog title...the kitting marathon is almost done and if I stayed at home today it would be but hey it's time to put things in perspective...unlock the production line shackles and head off with the Friday girls into the wild blue yonder to explore a new shopping destination and no doubt...the latest must visit eaterie and yes I do know it's only Thursday.
I have to admit that the marathon would have been completed days ago if I hadn't been overcome by that uncontrollable urge to play with some of Tim's new goodies...you know what they say...if you have an itch...you just gotta scratch it...I'm loving the Mixed Media dies...the gorgeous butterfly from the Perspective stamp set and oh boy don't Cracked Pistachio and Abandoned Coral sit nicely together...

and the product I can't live without when it comes to sticking down these very intricate die cuts...the amazing Stick It from Ken Oliver and Craft Obsessions...you'll find the link in the product list below.
Toodle oo for now...

It's playtime...

Hi folks...the cubbyhole crew are slap bang in the middle of the kitting marathon but I'm always looking for a chance to skive off for some crafty playtime and where there's a will...there's ALWAYS a way...there was one great big lightbulb moment when I remembered I needed to make one more Inspiration Emporium DT project for February...come what may I was using some of the new goodies and here it is...a "yes it's playtime fun project" using what is probably going to be one of my favourite Tim Holtz stamp sets ever...Flower Garden along with the Correspondence Paper Stash...Remnant Rubs and the luscious new Abandoned Coral Distress Marker...don't you just love when a plan comes together...

And as luck would have it...perfect for the February "Love Is In The Air" challenge over at Inspiration Journal...you still have time to enter with the chance of winning a fabulous $50 spend at Inspiration Emporium so dig out your supplies and have fun crafting.

Kath's Klub...Part 1

Hi folks...it's been a chilly weekend in my little corner of the world with a little dusting of snow but it's not all doom and gloom. I had a fun day on Saturday with my lovely buddies at Kath's Klub at The Papeterie...who cares what the weather is doing outside when there lots of fun to be had in the classroom...decorating a notebook with Tissue Wrap and Distress Paints...
stencilling with Texture Paste

and the icing on the cake...a gorgeous Clearly For Art dragonfly...

I'll be back tomorrow to share what we made after lunch...in the meantime the cubbyhole crew are cracking on with the kitting and this cunning old crafter is planning a sneaky little bit of playtime...all work and no play...you know what I'm saying.
