Hi Ho...Hi Ho...

Hi folks...the cubbyhole crew have been a bit down the dumps...Mr Mojo's still not back and the Chief Cook and Bottlewasher has been struggling to feel enthusiastic...bogged down by that "can't gee my ginger" feeling....perhaps the weather's to blame...the days are definitely getting shorter...the sun seems to have deserted my little corner of the planet...the leaves are starting to change colour...Autumn and Winter are just around the corner or could it be the new regime of taking things a bit easier that's at fault...I suspect it was the manic busy workload and pressure of meeting deadlines that kept my crafty brain ticking over. So before I turn into an obsessed "how many times in a day can you dust the TV " domestic goddess or a tub of lard from too many trips to the biscuit tin...it's time to get my "Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to work we go" hat back on again and head for the "deserted for more than a week" cubbyhole...the place that keeps me sane and where fun things happen.
And before I hit the Fiskars Workshop kitting production line again...I'm easing myself in with some inky Tim Holtz playtime...
And the daily blogging is back on the agenda...well...old habits die hard and it's definitely another sanity saver...it's a bit like writing a diary...sharing the ups and downs of life with you all is a great way for me to clear my head before I head up the wooden hill to Bedfordshire each night.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  1. Mr. Mojo has been absent from my crafting room many times this summer and I've had to spend precious time looking for him. My friend says it's because we are more critical of our work now and we are seeking perfection! Perhaps, I need to follow Mr. Tim's advice and embrace more imperfection. At any rate, I hope I've reached level ground for a bit, with no more uphill climbs. Your work doesn't look as though Mr. Mojo deserted you, I must say. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hearing from Buddy or having you tell us about his sweet ways with you is a highlight I look forward to. I hope Ole Mister Mojo is just waiting around the corner. 4. Hope you enjoy your "Tim" playtime.
Sometimes the brain works better when it is under a bit of pressure - such as deadlines - but let's hope you can find the right balance without having to get back on the hamster wheel.

  5. I thought old habits might die hard Kath...great to see you back with a daily post...always makes me smile. In your own words it's pulling up the big girls knickers time I suppose. Give that mojo a talking to, he's never far away and your creativity is brilliant. Just playing often helps..be kind to yourself too. There is sunshine here this morning after an end of the world type day yesterday, sending some your way! Hugs xx

  7. Morning Kath,
I'm glad that you've decided to keep on with the daily blog. I read every morning and always enjoy your tales - whether or not they are craft-related.
It's reassuring for the rest of us that even your mojo goes AWOL at times!

Hope you have a good day,
    Ruth x

  9. I am certain the doctor prescribes Tim Holtz playtime as a defence against miserable weather blues. If not, he should. I am told furry cuddles are also very beneficial... x

  10. Hi Kath,
I think my Mr. Mojo has emigrated!! I have all the time in the world to craft as I can't work due to poor health...but...all my inspiration has fled!! I do have my first ever set of Tim Holtz stamps and dies, those pesky birds, to play with and the wonderful flower set you showcased the other day is winging its way to me from the US...I buy a lot of my crafty stash from SuperMartUS of BIC Warehouse as they are so much cheaper than this side of the pond and always offer free shipping, so it's worth waiting a wee bit longer for the goodies to arrive. I've also fallen in love with the Brusho crystals, so I've been sourcing out the best online offer of the 12 pack so that I can start to experiment with them in the hope that something will nudge my creative juices. I'm so glad that you feel up to blogging every day again. I always enjoy your musings, even if I don't comment each day. xx

  13. Mr. Mojo is such a fickle guy - he runs in and runs out before we even know it. Kudos to you for sticking with it! I enjoy your blog so much and am happy to see you every day you post. You certainly help when he is absent. Hugs to that bunch of golden glory too! ~chris

  16. Count me in the group that really look forward to your daily chats. We are all of an age and you are the glue that holds us together with no explanations needed all around. It's good to hear someone else sound off who think/reasons like you do yourself, whether it be about crafting, vacuum cleaners or sweet baby boys on four paws. Thank you for taking the time to share your day with us.
Mr. Mojo is a fickle dude but he won't stay away for long........relax and enjoy!
