Up Up and Away...

Hi folks...I'm definitely a morning person but the alarm ringing it's head off at 5.00am...a quick dash to the airport for 6.00am check-in and no time for the usual relaxing morning caffeine fix is not the best start to the day but hey I'll soon be up and up and away...climbing high above my hometown en route to Birmingham with Mr Flybe...after a couple of coffees on board and a hearty full English breakfast at the airport I'll be good to go...
off to The NEC...feeling all bright eyed and bushy tailed and looking forward to seeing my lovely Fiskars buddies again and the joys of Set-Up Day.
Edited to add: ignore all of the above...Flybe have cancelled my flight and the other two flights for today are fully booked...I'm now on my way to the train station and looking forward NOT...to a 7 hour 3 change long journey...currently having an absolute nightmare nervous breakdown.
I'll be sharing some of the samples I made for the show with you this week...starting off with my favourite..a Butterfly Tote Bag...decorated with decoupaged napkins...Fiskars Power Punch Circles and the Fiskars Power Punch Heart to make the butterflies.

If you're coming to the show...please pop by and say hello
Hugs Kath xxx

  5. I did wonder about those flight plans Kath! Hopefully the train will take most of the pain out of the trip - have a good show.

  8. Hi, Kath,
Oh no, that's awful! That's only happened to me once, I was flying to Chicago for a couple of show at the House of Blues in the city but it was when all the power went down along the eastern coast of the US back in 2003. I was stuck at Gatwick for 24 hours fuming at losing one day of my very short break. Luckily I got there in time for the first show though. I hate to think of you on that long train trip. When I used to visit my sister here in Cornwall before I moved down, it was a 3 change 6+ hour trip as well and I hated it. My dog loved it and slept all the way though. I hope you arrive not too frazzled and have a great time when you actually get there.

  11. Oh my goodness Kath, what a nightmare, you'll be all harassed before you even start setting up! I do hope you'll be able to get yourself chilled out a bit somewhere along the way. I'm going tomorrow too so if I see you I'll give you a nudge!

  12. I hope a similar problem on my trip up to Aberdeen in June this year. Twice they cancelled the flights for the flight home. Instead of an afternoon flight I ended up with an early morning one. Hope the trip isn't too exhausting and you enjoy the NEC.
