I'm having a ball...

Hi folks...I can't tell you how much fun I'm having on my Wanderlust 2016 Adventure...in fact I'm having a rather messy "covered in paint" ball and I quickly realised that with loads of watercolour paper to Gesso for the fabulous Kate Crane Travel Journal Project...my trusty Non Stick Craft Mat was going to need regular hosing down so I had one of those lightbulb moments when I spotted 5M rolls of Christmas paper discounted to 50p per roll in a local supermarket and it works a treat...

and with the covers completed...I was ready to scrunch it up and toss it in the bin but...
I'm a waste not...want not canny kinda Scot...so I turned it over ready for the fun part...creating backgrounds on the pages
If you haven't already signed up for this Wanderlust Adventure...what are you waiting for...this is going to be a whole year of creative fun...you can find all the details HERE.
And instead of watching the proverbial paint dry...I've sneaked to the sofa with a cuppa to catch up with what Mr Tim Holtz's up to CHA 2016.  If like me you are intriqued by the new Distress Crayons...The Professor himself explains all in this video clip...it's a glorious 21 minutes long so perhaps you should get yourselves a cuppa first...enjoy...I did...in fact I've watched it 3 times so far.

My wish list is now so long that I may have to get hubby out of retirement and back to work or if that fails...rob a bank
Catch you all later
Hugs Kath xxx

And yes, pretty much everything in the new release is on my "NEED" list. Especially the crayons, collage mediums and the picket fence ink. Can't wait! x

  8. ARGH!!! I knew I shouldn't watch the video, Kath. Now I really want all the different mediums plus all the crayons...and my sickness benefit won't allow me to buy any, let alone all. Damn you, Tim Holtz, you're making my life so difficult lol. I'm just going to have to add everything to my wish list and hope that I can eventually manage to save up for bits and pieces as and when I have the cash. I have to say that I loved the effect Tim got by using the stencil and the baby wipe, it was just stunning and I like the new distress colour of Picket Fence...at this rate I'm going to have to get another ink storage unit...why did I think I could get away with a couple of small ones instead of getting the bigger one in the first place lol.
Thanks so much for bringing us the video, Kath. Tim is a remarkable man isn't he :)

  10. I had a splendid time cutting and gessoing all my pages, and now they've been standing on my floor for three days waiting for me to have time for the next stage. I expect if I go hunting you may have shared the finished journal by now!
