Lucky Lucky Lucky Me...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's "Make Your Own Background" challenge...we hope you can join us this week too...

and the theme for this week is...
USE SOME LUCKY STARS
and I certainly was thanking my lucky stars and dancing a merry jig when I got a place at the Tim Holtz Workshop at Stitches the UK Trade Show in February and couldn't resist making a "Lucky Lucky Lucky Me" Keepsake Momento for my craft room using Tim's Idea-ology Display Hanger...
I started off with a sheet of self-adhesive Cork from Idea-ology Textured Surfaces...sponged on White Gesso with Cut 'n-Dry to soften the colour and fixed to a piece of chipboard. Then I trimmed a piece of self adhesive Linen from Idea-Ology Textile Surfaces and also fixed it to chipboard. I die cut the flourish from Mixed Media 2 Thinlits using paper from the Dapper Paper Stash and fixed it down using Distress Collage Medium. I then applied the medium over the top of the die cut and the linen panel using the Distress Collage Brush. I applied the Chipped Sapphire Distress Crayon randomly and smudged with my finger to soften the colour and blend.
I watered down White Gesso slightly and created splatters all over with the Splatter Brush. I printed my photo on to Sticky Back Canvas...fixed to chipboard and applied the Vintage Photo Distress Crayon around the edges and smudged with my finger to blend...
I die cut Simon Says Stamp Stars Parade using paper from the Dapper Paper Stash...fixed down with Collage Medium and popped some of the inner stars on to 3D foam to create dimension...
I coloured the Letterpress alphabets with Stormy Sky Distress Paint...sanded them back slightly once the paint was dry and then splattered with White Gesso before fixing the letters on a strip of the ruler paper from the Dapper Stash Pad at the bottom of the panel. I added Label Letters to a scrap of paper and fixed an Idea-ology Fragment on top using Glossy Accents. Once dry I trimmed around the edge and fixed next to the Letterpress "LUCKY"
Then I dabbed the Collage Glue Stick randomly around the hanger and used Ranger Vintage Foil Gold sheets to highlight and add a bit of sparkle...
To finish off I added Label Letters to the photo panel and the label provided with the Display Hanger...
