A "Left-overs" Card

Hi folks...crikey the weather's gone crazy in my neck of the woods...we've had the "all seasons in one day" weather for 2 days in a row...brilliant blue sky sunshine...freezing cold winds and horizontal huge snowflake blizzards but hey it's a great excuse to hunker down in the cubbyhole and finish off my felt project. I can't share it with you just yet but there were some left-overs so rather than waste them...you know what us crafters are like...I've made a quick card...

and it was also a chance to play with the "You Are My Favorite" die from the MY FAVORITE release of gorgeous stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp...
I covered an A5 card with paper from Prima's Timeless Memories 6 x 6 Pad and used Stitched Rectangles and You Are My Favorite dies to create the front panel which I popped on to 3D Foam to create some dimension. I die cut extra "MY" letters from white cardstock and Peach Felt...glued them together and popped the letters back into the negative space and stamped the sentiment from Butterfly Friends with Black Archival.
Then I added my left-over flowers and leaves die cut with the Plush Blooming Heart set and decorated the flowers and panel with sequins.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx

  2. The weather is going crazy.
Yesterday lunchtime it was brilliant sunshine as I walked to the café and it was snowing.
A very pretty card. Your leftovers have certainly been put to good use.

  5. Those felt leaves and flowers look fabulous Kath....in fact your card is stunning.
Here in the west we have had more sunshine and so far no snow.....but it has been really cold, particularly if you are in the shade.
Think we may have snow tomorrow so I guess my plan to do some gardening is on hold.

  6. Hi Kath,
Isn't it great how a beautiful card like this can be made of leftovers. It's wonderful. If this is what you can do with what's left, I can't wait to see the project you've been working on.
