Woohoo...what a week

Hi everyone...well it's Friday...the end of another week and what a week it's been...I'm on the last leg of the little hallway door painting marathon...
and you know what...I have a sneaky feeling Summer may be on it's way at last so Project Number 3...the kitchen...has been put on the back burner for now....Rome wasn't built in a day after all.
And what can I say about Wednesday at Wimbledon...crikey 5 sets of nail biting...heart in the mouth tennis with my hero...at one stage...in real danger of going out. Roger Federer has known some breathtaking triumphs in his time but this must rank right up there with one of the most astonishing quarter finals Centre Court has ever witnessed. To come back and win from 2 sets down against Cilic's punishing serve shows what a great champion he is...never give up is his ethos...he has nerves of steel...determination...focus and self belief in bucket loads...it's not over until the fat lady sings in other words...
and I hardly had time to get my breath back and we were off again with another 5 exciting sets with Tsonga making Andy Murray fight for every last point...blimey I was exhausted by the end of it all...goodness knows what my blood pressure reading was and woohoo...we get to do it all again this afternoon...I may need oxygen and a medical team on standby.
But tomorrow is definitely going to be a "CUBBYHOLE" day...I need a bit of calm and tranquil crafting therapy before the next round of "heart in the mouth" excitement...the Wimbledon 2016 Men's Final on Sunday...also a chance to hit the neglected list of things to do piling up on my workdesk...
and have some fun with a delicious "Happy Mail" parcel from my dear friend Kim Costello of  Paperbabe Stamps...
and what better way to end a crazy week than with the news from Tim Holtz that the Crazy Dog stamps we have all been waiting for will be revealed tomorrow...Woof..Woof.
So while I get myself back in
mode...have a great weekend everyone...I hope the sun will be shining where you are
and I'll see you all on Monday with another project for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge and remember you still have time to enter this week's Red White And/Or Blue Challenge with the chance to win a $50 spending spree at the online store.

  1. Now I am exhausted just reading what you have been up to.... the tennis certainly was nail-biting stuff and the Tour de France is much the same. Like you, I am not sure I can take much more of it all!! I am so looking forward to the Crazy Dog stamps and also seeing the results of your weekend cubby hole pursuits! Have a great weekend my friend! Hugs, Anne xx

  4. Hi Kath,
The hall looks great...would you like to come down to Cornwall and help with my decorating?? I've painted the kitchen walls and ceilind. I took the door off and I think I'm going to put up a bead curtain instead. The hall is next as it's nice and small. There were five doors into it but since the kitchen one has vanished, now it's only four thank goodness...oh, and the loft hatch which right now has a nice pair of black handprints on it from when my sis went up there for me lol.

Well, poor old Roger went out in another five setter. What a shame, I would have loved to see him and Andy in the final. I suppose I should cheer on Raonic as my dad was Canadian. I will if the unthinkable happens and Andy doesn't get through.

Don't get too stressed out while you watch it, Kath...and congratulations on finally getting some good weather.

  5. Your hallway is looking lovely, I like the soft, warm colour you used. I'm glad your enjoying the tennis, Andy is doing great, take it easy, calm down, put your feet up and have a relaxing cuppa.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you create with these new goodies.
Yaay! Crazy dogs! I can't wait to see them too.
Your garden is looking lovely too Kath. How do you fit so much "busy" in your week?
At least the weather has improved, you can enjoy getting out with your golden boy without the heavy rain and mucky puddles too. Give Buddy a hug for me.

  6. Your home is looking beautiful, calm and serene Kath. Please come paint our house and sort out my grotty crafty nest too Kath! The tennis was terrifying but fun and yep we're exhausted from all that watching too. The Crazy Dogs are fabulous!!! Those and the mini bouquet and mini wildflowers are right at the top of my wish list, Sir Tim will bankrupt me yet Karen x

  7. I was at work so had the BBC website minimised to catch the breaking news/up-dates on the tennis. Certainly nail biting stuff.
The decorating is coming along and wow, look at all that happy mail. I saw Tim's blog about the Crazy Dogs and other new stamps...my wish list just got longer LOL
    Have a great weekend.
