Shine Bright Like A Diamond...

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog...thank you for joining us for last week's challenge...we hope you can join us this week too...
and the theme for this week is...
SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND
and as it's the first Monday of the month...the team are showcasing products designed by the super talented Tim Holtz...woohoo I'm excited. I'm sure you will all have some of  Tim's fabulous products so it's time to get your Distress supplies out and get crafting.

I decided to decorate an Idea-ology Vignette Box to create a snowy winter wonderland scene...
I coated the box with White Gesso and then applied Tumbled Glass Distress Paint...while that was drying I cut strips of the music paper to fit the inner sides and back from the Tidings Stash Pad...spritzed with Tumbled Glass Spray Stain and created splatters with White Gesso.
I stamped the log cabin (and if you follow my blog...you will know that I've fallen in love with this image) with Potting Soil Archival Ink on to the background and again on to white cardstock...die cut with Tim's Stitched Ovals Thinlits and coloured the edge with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink.
I stamped the small snowflake from the same set with Ranger Embossing Ink...applied Ranger Sticky Embossing Powder...heat set and rubbed over with the Ranger Vintage Foil Sheets. And then stamped the snowflake again with Potting Soil Archival. I created a snowbank from white cardstock...layered up on 3D foam tape and applied Grit Paste with an old brush.
I spritzed the Tree with Tumbled Glass Spray Stain...coloured the Idea-ology Icicles and Letterpress Numbers with Brushed Pewter and Tumbled Glass Distress Paint and while they were still wet sprinkled with glitter...
I used Tim's Magic Alcohol Ink trick to colour the Dancing Deer with Silver Mixative and used an old brush to create splatters on the snowflakes.
I applied Grit Paste around the edges and bottom portion of the Vignette Box...sprinkled with glitter...cut the sentiment from one of the papers in the Tidings Stash Pad...added a Tiding Token coloured with Silver Mixative...
added pearls to the tree and a number brad coloured with Silver Mixative.
I die cut Birch Trees from white cardstock...coloured with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and darkened the edges with Walnut Stain Distress Marker...
and fixed to the sides of the box with Distress Collage Medium...
created splatters with Walnut Stain Distress Ink...applied Grit Paste for a snowy look and sprinkled with glitter.
