There's a new kid in town...

Hi Everyone...I'm cutting right to the chase this morning with the news that there's a new kid in town...a new boy has joined the cubbyhole team...more by accident than invitation and isn't he cute.
I may have to make him a new outfit for the Summer months but at the moment he's cosy and warm in his cute winter attire. He got left behind when hubby embarked on his annual put the Christmas Decs back in the loft adventure with the usual accompanying moans and groans and you know what...on that particular day I wasn't in the mood for grumpy sod tantrums so it looks like this adorable Snowman will be keeping me company right through 2017 in the "hanging out with crafty friends" corner of the cubbyhole...
Not sure the resident fur ball is best pleased that I have a new friend to chat to...although I have a feeling it's going to be a one-sided conversation and that he's not going to be much help when it's comes to the crafting workload but at least he's awake with a happy smile on his face and seems to be paying attention unlike his laid-back counterpart who likes nothing better than getting his head down and catching up with some rest and relaxation...
And on that subject...for all you Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous/Ranger fans out there...Creativation 2017 goes live in Phoenix Arizona today and I'll be spending lots of time over the next 4 days snuggled up on the sofa watching Facebook Live and lots of videos from the show especially our adorable Professor strutting his stuff with the amazing new Distress Oxide Ink pads and in between I'm on a mission to ink my way through this bundle of Stampers Anonymous gorgeousness...
because a little birdie tells me there's a very special parcel of more deliciousness heading this way.
Hugs Kath xxx

  5. Morning, Kath,
I love your new friend! It's going to be interesting to see how you kit him out in the summer...perhaps he should have his very own signature Tim Holtz shirt lol.
To tell the truth, I'm a bit peeved with our beloved professor right now, had I known he was going to bring out his own stamping tool I would have waited and not bought my MISTI. Don't get me wrong, I love it...but don't you think the Tonic one has a certain touch of style and I love the way you just flip the cover around for clear or rubber stamps. The man is a genius!
I was fascinated with the new distress oxide stamps although I know I won't be getting them for quite a while yet. With 61 colours in the 'normal' distress range now it's going to be an uphill struggle to get them all, then the re-inkers, before thinking of getting into the new technology, as wonderful as it is...perhaps I could send a begging email to Tim asking him to take pity on this poor, disabled fan who still only has around half the range to help me complete my collection lol.
My fur baby says 'woof' to Buddy...she's giving me the evil eye as I've been too busy until now to have my brekkie and she's trying to get me to weaken and give her some of my toast...with Mrs Bridges celebration marmalade (with champagne) spread on it she's got no chance lol.
