The "just wasn't meant to be" Card...

Hi folks...I'm sharing another Distress Oxide card...the one I made late Monday afternoon...after the reorganise my ink pads session...
and I have to come clean and confess that the aperture was born out of necessity rather than invention when the ink splattering went a little bit wrong...there was much "OH BOTHER" or words to that effect...weeping...wailing and gnashing of teeth as I frantically tried to wipe away a rather large blob of black paint but the more I wiped...the worse it got. I was in no mood to start over so it was either a "cut my losses" bin job or perform emergency surgery. I grabbed a circle die...drew round it with a pencil and cut round the circle and flower...getting rid of the evidence and creating a "no-one will ever know it wasn't meant to be there" aperture. I covered the kraft card behind the aperture with Chatter Design Tape and added Quotations for the sentiment.

Little did I know as I returned to the cubbyhole after uploading the photos and writing this post that the "pride comes before a fall" gremlins were about to bite me on the bum and the card I had desperately tried to save had finally sealed it's fate by nose-diving off the shelf right in to my Ranger Water Bucket.
There's no point in crying over spilt milk or a wet soggy card for that matter...the "just wasn't meant to be" card is now on it's way to the Recycling Centre to be mashed into a pulp and I would like to think...reborn as a brand new sheet of paper but hey ho...a glass of wine and a generous helping of chocolate as a consolation and this old crafter is ready for a brand new day...lightning doesn't strike twice...right!!!
See you all later
Hugs Kath xxx
