Simon Says - Always There Blog Hop Day 2

Hi my friends, welcome to my stop on Day 2 of the Simon Says Stamp Blog Hop for the Always There release. I'm thrilled to be joining lots of talented friends and designers to share inspiration using products from this fabulous release and you can check out all the products in the release HERE.

I created a trio of cards using the beautiful Floral Word Builder 6" x 8" stamp set, Floral Word Builder Sentiments 3" x 4" stamp set and Rounded Rectangles dies.

I began by creating pale pastel backgrounds on A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card using Spun Sugar, Tumbled Glass and Scattered Straw Distress Oxide inks.

I stamped the Simon Says Stamp Floral Word Builder images on to the panels inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink to create the words.

I coloured the images using Distress Watercolor Pencils (colours listed below) and a Detail Water Brush, added dots to the flower centers with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen and splatters on the background to match the colours of the flowers.

I die-cut A2 white side folding card blanks using the largest of the Simon Says Stamp Rounded Rectangles Dies, placing the edge of the die slightly off the the left hand edge of the cards.

I used the second largest Rounded Rectangles Die to cut the stamped panels.

I fixed the panels to the cards using Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue. I stamped the Floral Word Builder sentiments on to scraps of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I die-cut the sentiments using the smallest Rounded Rectangles Die and fixed in place with Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares.

Distress Watercolor Pencils used - Spun Sugar to add shading to the letters, Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Shabby Shutters and Scorched Timber.

Distress Watercolor Pencils used - Wild Honey to add shading to  the letters, Saltwater Taffy, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass, and Rustic Wilderness.

Distress Watercolor Pencils - Tumbled Glass to add shading to the letters, Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Pine Needles and Scorched Timber.
