The first project for my October workshop at The Papeterie on 24th is in the bag...easing ourselves in gently with a repeat of the "Sleigh Bells Ring" project I taught at The Retreat...we just mixed it up a little with alternative colours...
now it's time to get our thinking caps on for the "Christmas With A Twist" cards using Karen Burniston's fabulous Accordion Card Die along with lots of Tim's new Christmas Stamps...Texture Fades and Vellum...
so if you fancy joining me for a fun day making a headstart on your Christmas makes...you can find the details HERE and I have a plan to get us in the Christmas mood...a quick trip to Costco to pick up a pack of their yummy mince pies may just do the trick.
See you all tomorrow
Hugs Kath xxx
I love that sleigh Kath.
ReplyDeleteMornings are rather chilly here but we have been very lucky all week with lovely warm sunny days.
Sainsbury's were stacking up a display of mince pies yesterday so it's a sure sign Christmas is on the way.

That's simply gorgeous! I've just been asked to make some items to display in our shop window for Christmas, so thank you for the much needed inspiration! x
ReplyDeleteI just love your sleigh and reindeer in these colours, they are just gorgeous! I made them for our Christmas table last year and they will be coming out again this year and I may add some sparkle to the antlers as yours look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to seeing your Christmas KB accordion card, I just LOVE those dies too! Apologies for being missing in September, I'm back now!! Big hugs, Anne xx
Gorgeous sleigh Kath, love e touches of sparkle and the glorious Christmas colour palette. I feel your pain creating Christmas when the sun is shining, I have been doing Christmas since May for the magazine lol. Tracy x
ReplyDeleteLove the sleigh! However, any additional inspiration that involves pie is bound to be super successful. Love the way you craft And think!
ReplyDeleteI love the sleigh and deer with the all-natural colour palette - absolutely gorgeous! Going to have to rethink on the large stag, I think... I thought I could make do with the little fawn, but I'm starting to wonder... Have fun with all the classes. Can't wait to see what appears on the accordion cards.

This is just a stunning project. I am always in awe of the things you make other than cards.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first Santa's sleigh you did for the winter retreat but this color palette is just gorgeous. Can I ask what you cut the sleigh out with it looks so thick, even thicker than chipboard. Just wondering, I have the sleigh die and would love to give this a try since I live way too far away to take your class (insert sad face). Thanks!
