but it sold out almost immediately and I had to wait for it to come back in stock...good things come to those who wait. I'll be sharing 4 days of "Spring Flower" stamping..starting off with a very simple Distress Ink Blending Technique using some of the other goodies that came in my DT parcels...
I stamped the flowers and leaves on to white card using Versamark Ink and heat embossed using Ranger White Detail Embossing Powder. Then I coloured the flowers using Distress Mini Ink Pads and blending tools...easy peasy and no worries about going over the lines because they're going to be cut out leaving a thin border around the edges...
and voila...one quick and easy card...finished off with a little splattering of Black Soot Distress Paint and a few sequins...
and I couldn't let the negative from the oval aperture go to waste so I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Big Scripty Greetings in Versamark and heat embossed with Ranger Fine Detail White Embossing Powder...
See you all tomorrow for something entirely different using little pots of pearly magic...

ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Kath. The flowers look fabulous and I love that brickwork stamping on the background.

Absolutely gorgeous! Now, why have I never thought of using emboss resist work to make individual elements of a design like that? I always use it either as background or incorporated somehow into the overall design

Hi Kath,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card! I love the way you coloured the flowers, that's a technique I'm going to try and I can NEVER stay within the lines lol. I think I'm going to have to see if I can find that stamp set as it's really cool...off to do a search for it :)
