and the theme for this week is...
WORLD TRAVELER
I had lots of fun making a "Travel" page for my 2016 Art Journal
I used 4 pages for this project and painted around the edges of the two outer pages with Black Gesso...
inked the Darkroom Door Texture Stamp with Versamark...dusted with White Embossing Powder and heat to set...I then covered the inner pages with Postale Tissue Wrap using Distress Collage Medium Matte as my adhesive...
Tim's Idea-ology Ruler was perfect to create a torn effect around the edges...
I then applied Fossilized Amber and Cracked Pistachio Distress Paints with a baby wipe allowing the design on the Tissue Wrap to show through...
I stamped lots of images from Simon Says Stamp (Darkroom Door) Enjoy the Journey stamp set over the background with Black Archival Ink...applied Idea-ology Correspondence Tissue Tape...Special Delivery Remnant Rubs...an Adage Ticket and Expedition Ephemera and created shadows around the Ephemera and Tissue Tape with the Black Soot and Walnut Stain Distress Markers.
I repeated the white embossing with the Texture Stamp and used White Texture Paste with the Decoart/Andy Skinner Industrial Elements stencil to create the wording and once it was dry...created shadows with the Black Soot Distress Marker.
I painted the edges of the inner pages with Black Gesso and used a Signo Uniball White Pen to highlight the inner edge...the globes and some of the remnant rubs...
