Simon Says - Floral Outlines

Happy Sunday my friends, I'm sharing cards I made using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bouquet Layering Stencil and Distress Spritz to create the backgrounds, Floral Outlines stamp set and Simon Says Stamp Floral Outlines co-ordinating wafer dies and sentiments using Simon Says Stamp Summer Fruit Tiles stamp set from the Sunny Vibes release.

I sprayed Peacock Feathers and Uncharted Mariner Distress Spritz through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Bouquet Layering Stencil on to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock which I set aside to use on another project. I flipped the stencil, spritzed with water, pressed on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with water again to create another panel and dried.
I placed the stamping template I created previously with the Simon Says Floral Outlines dies into my stamp platform and die-cut from Distress Watercolor card. I placed the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Floral Outlines stamps into the negative spaces on the template and picked the stamps up on to the lid of the platform. I stamped the images on to the die-cuts, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I left the stamps in the same place on the lid, removed the die-cuts from the template and coloured using Distress Watercolor Pencils - Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Pine Needles, Uncharted Mariner and Scorched Timber for the flower centres using a Detailer Waterbrush.
I replaced the coloured die-cuts back in to the template and re-stamped the images to replace the detail.
I inked the solid rectangle stamps from Simon Says Summer Fruit Tiles with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink and stamped on to scraps of Distress Oxide ink and stamped the sentiments with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I fussy cut the rectangles to leave a white border and fixed the Floral Outlines die-cut and the sentiment on to the panel using Simon Says 3D foam squares to add dimension. I added splatters of Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz and matted the panels on to white card blanks.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I'll be back tomorrow to share my DT project for Simon Says Monday Challenge.

Simon Says - Zippy Zinnias

Hello my friends, I'm back to share a card made using Simon Says Stamp Zippy Zinnias Embossing Folder from the recent Sunny Vibes release and the You Brighten My Day Die from the Sunny Smiles July 2024 card kit.

The minute I saw this gorgeous embossing folder, I knew it would be perfect to use with an oldie but goodie technique. I spritzed an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card on both sides with water, placed in the Zippy Zinnias embossing folder which also comes with 3 flowerhead dies, which I didn't use on this occasion and ran it through my die-cutting machine so that the debossed side of the folder was on the smooth side of the card.
I coloured the flowers with Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxides and the stems with Peeled Paint Distress Oxide using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes. You don't have to be too careful about keeping within the lines because the next step will hide any over spill.
I then dragged Simon Says Intense Black ink pad over the panel and dried. I used a Distress Detailer Waterbrush to remove colour from the edges of the flowers to create some colour variation.
I added splatters of Tim Holtz/Ranger Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz which added a beautiful hint of shimmer and sparkle.
I die-cut the Simon Says You Brighten My Day wafer die twice from Distress Watercolor card, layered to create dimension and fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium. I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and matted on to a 4.1/2" x 5.3/4" white card blank. I added PinkFresh Studio Gold Glitter Drops for some extra sparkle.
I also added splatters of Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz over the sentiment

Have a great weekend whatever you have planned.

Simon Says - Sunny Smiles July 2024 Card Kit

Hello my friends, I'm sending you Sunny Smiles from the "Summer has finally arrived" UK and sharing a trio of simple fun cards created with the Sunny Smiles 6" x 8" stamp set from the Simon Says Stamp Sunny Smiles July 2024 card kit. The kit is still available to purchase or if you wish, you can buy individual items from the kit, HERE.

All the cards were created on panels of Distress Watercolor card, trimmed to 3.3/4" x 5", matted on to A2 panels of Simon Says Fog Grey cardstock and fixed to A2 white card blanks. To add extra sunshine sparkle, I added splatters of  Tim Holtz/Ranger Ink Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz to each panel.
I stamped the sunburst image and Hello sentiment from the Sunny Smiles stamp set, inked with Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks on to Distress Watercolor card and stamped the Friend sentiment, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink.
There are dies available for the stamp set (linked below) but I don't have them so I used my trusty Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mini Recoil Snips to cut an aperture to create the shaker element.
I trimmed Simon Says Acetate to fit behind the aperture and stamped the smiley face inked with StazOn Jet Black ink.
I fixed the acetate to the panel with Simon Says Red Line tape, fixed 3D foam strips around the aperture to create a well and filled with Pretty Pink Posh Gold Mix Confetti.
I added 3D foam strips around the edges of the panel, fixed to the card blank and added Gold Mix Confetti for extra sparkle.
I smooshed Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked up on a piece of acetate and pressed on to the Distress Watercolor panel and dried. I stamped the Sunburst image, inked with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink 3 or 4 times to intensify the colour and the sentiment and smiley face with Simon Says Intense Black ink. I fixed the panel to the card blank with Distress Collage Medium.

I stamped the 3 sections of the wonky rainbow on to the panel, inked with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink, flipped the stamps upside down and stamped again to create circles. I stamped the sentiments inked with Simon Says Intense Black Ink. I die-cut a circle from Distress Watercolor card roughly the size of the centre of the wonky rainbow, stamped the smiley face inked with Intense Black ink, added shading around the edges with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Tiny Blending Tool and fixed to the panel popped up on foam squares.

Simon Says - Transport It

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
TRANSPORT IT
I created a card inspired by Henry Ford who revolutionised transport with his Model T Ford, making cars affordable for the masses across the world. I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Vintage Auto and Observations with Uncharted Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz to create the background, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault World Travel Thinlits, Idea-ology Postmarked, Sticker Book, Paper Dolls Poses and Tiny Text Remnant Rubs.
I sprayed Uncharted Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz on to an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with water and dried. I inked the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Vintage Auto with Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink and stamped repeatedly over the background.
I inked the image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Observations with Black Soot Distress Archival ink and holding the stamp in my hand, stamped repeatedly on the background.
I spritzed Distress Black HeavyStock with the same colours of Distress Spritz and die-cut the globe frame using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault World Travel Thinlits.
I positioned the globe die inside the frame and die-cut from Distress Watercolor card. I smooshed Uncharted Mariner and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat and tapped the die-cuts into the inks. I added shading around the edges using Scorched Timber Distress Ink with a Distress Tiny Blending Tool and assembled, adding foam squares under the top layers to create dimension.
I fixed the dapper gentleman and car from Idea-ology Paper Dolls Poses in place with Distress Collage Medium and trimmed off everything hanging off the edges.
I die-cut the Vault World Travel alphabet letters twice from Distress Kraft HeavyStock, layered and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I added stamps from the Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book and Tiny Text Remnant Rubs.
I added splatters of Uncharted Mariner Distress Spritz, trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4", fixed to Distress Kraft HeavyStock, trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

I created a set of clean and simple notecards using bright summer colours along with the Summer Fruit Tiles stamp set and Lily Of The Valley Stem Wafer die from the release.
began by creating simple backgrounds on 3.3/4" x 5" panels of Distress Watercolor card using the solid shape images from Simon Says Summer Fruit Tiles stamp set stamped with Simon Says Sage Pawsitively Saturated Ink and Tim Holtz Kitsch Flamingo and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks. I inked the sentiments from the stamp set with Simon Says Intense Black ink and stamped on to one of the shapes. I smooshed the ink pads on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and added splatters in colours to match.
I die-cut the Lily Of The Valley Stems Wafer Die from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Simon Says Pearfection, Field, Sage and Pine Pawsitively Saturated Inks using a Round Detail Blending Brush.
I fixed the stems in place with Distress Collage Medium, added foam squares behind the large leaves to create dimension.
I matted the panels on to A2 panels of Distress Kraft HeavyStock and fixed to top folding A2 white card blanks.

You'll find more inspiration from the release on Simon Says Stamp Sunny Vibes Gallery HERE and if you make anything with the release, we would love you to share with us all in the Gallery.
