Hello my friends, it's always a special day when the Simon Says Stamp card kit arrives in the cubbyhole and I was super excited when I saw the Graceful Flowers August Card Kit which is jam packed with lots of goodies. You can check out everything included in the kit HERE.
I fell in love with the gorgeous Graceful Flowers 6" x 8" stamp set and created 2 tag cards using the stamp set with the Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz included in the kit and used the Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz to colour the May Arts White Ribbon, also included in the kit.
I die-cut tags from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Tag Bookplates BigZ L die which is long retired but you could use Tim's Framed Tag Thinlits (linked below) and coloured with Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks using mini round blending tools.
I sprayed Picked Raspberry and Peacock Feathers Distress Spritz through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Roses Layering Stencil to add tone-on-tone shimmer to the backgrounds.
I stamped the main floral image and sentiments from Simon Says Graceful Flowers on to the tags, inked with Simon Says Intense Black ink.
I stamped the individual flower image from the stamp set to fill in the blank areas.
I added highlights to the flower centres and stamens using a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen and added splatters of Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz.
I sprayed the May Arts White Ribbon with water and then with Picked Raspberry Distress Spritz, scrunched the ribbon up in my hand and dried.
I added the ribbon to the tags along with a twine bow.
I added Bubble BlowOut iridescent gems
To finish I scored and folded white cardstock to create card blanks slightly larger than the tags and trimmed to create a tag shape. I covered the fronts with Distress Black HeavyStock and added the coloured panels fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
Did you know that Simon Says Stamp has made their card kit subscription better than ever with a SPECIAL AUGUST 2024 Subscriber Perk!
If you don't already subscribe, you can find out all the details HERE.
Enjoy what's left of your weekend and I'll be back tomorrow to share my DT project for Simon Says Monday Challenge and lots of more makes with the card kit throughout the week.
That's a gorgeous kit and your tags are amazing x
