Simon Says - Two-Step Simple Leaves Card Kit

Hello my friends, it's that time of the month when the Simon Says Card Kit of the Month pops through my letterbox and it never disappoints. The Two-Step Simple Leaves October Card Kit is full of amazing products guaranteed to kick start your creative mojo.

I created a card using the Two-Step Simple Leaves stamp set and stencil, the Tim Holtz/Ranger Tiny Blending Tools, the beautiful Stamperia Rice Paper, Simon Says Ivory cardstock and Pastel Tones Dazzling Gems, all included in the kit.
I trimmed Simon Says Ivory Cardstock to create a 4" x 5.1/4" panel, roughly measured the Stamperia Rice Paper, applied water around the edges with a Detailer Brush and teased the fibres apart.
I fixed the Rice Paper panel to the Ivory cardstock using Distress Collage Medium and a Collage Brush and added pieces of Tim Holtz Idea-ology Cello Sticker Tape.
I placed a panel of the Ivory cardstock on Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat, laid the Two-Step Simple Leaves Stencil in place and stencilled the leaves using Iced Spruce Distress Oxide ink and the Tiny Blending Tools included in the kit.
I stamped the outline leaves over the stencilled leaves using Simon Says Two-Step Simple Leaves stamp set, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and stamped the small leaf cluster twice, inked with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, on to a scrap of Ivory cardstock.
I die-cut with the Two-Step Simple Leaves co-ordinating dies, which are not included in the kit, but are an add-on purchase.
I die-cut Simon Says Birthday Wishes shadow layer from vellum and the words from the Ivory Cardstock, coloured with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. I fixed the word layer to the vellum with small dots of Distress Collage Medium behind the letters. I die-cut the words twice more and layered behind the vellum to create lift.
I added splatters of Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to the leaves, fixed to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and added the die-cut sentiment on top.
I added Simon Says Pastel Tones Dazzling Gems also included in the kit.

To finish I distressed the edge of the panel with my scissors, matted on to an A2 panel of Distress HeavyStock and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Simon Says - Not A Card

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
NOT A CARD
I recycled an old framed canvas and decorated using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy, Moon Mask Stencils, Idea-ology Halloween 2024 Collage Paper, Typography 2024 and Sizzix Alphanumeric Shadow Numbers Thinlits.
I ripped the old canvas off the frame and painted it with Black Gesso.
I cut a panel to fit inside the frame from mountboard and covered with Distress Watercolor card. I fixed the largest Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Moon Mask temporarily on the panel, coloured using Antique Linen, Ripe Persimmon and Scorched Timber Distress Oxide inks smooshed on to my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Mat. Once I had dipped the panel back into the inks a few times, drying between layers I removed the mask and used Scorched Timber Distress Oxide ink to add the detail. I replaced the original mask and added shading with Scorched Timber around the edges of the moon.
I fixed a torn piece of the haunted house from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Halloween 2024 Collage Paper in place using Distress Collage Medium and a collage brush.
I stamped the cobweb from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Boo Crazy on to the panel inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink.
I added splatters of Spiced Marmalade Distress Spritz
I painted the edges with Black Gesso using a piece of Ranger Cut 'N Dry to cover up the white core of the card.
I stamped the ghosts from Boo Crazy on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Black Soot Distress Archival ink, sprayed with water and dropped in Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink with a Distress Detailer Brush and let the water work it's magic.
I fixed teased out strips of Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Mummy Cloth to the panel with dots of Distress Collage Medium, fussy cut the ghosts with my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips, fixed in place popped up on 3D foam squares to add dimension and added white highlights to the eyes using a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen.
I fixed Painters Tape, sticky side up, to my Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios White Studio Mat to hold the Idea-ology Typography letters in place, painted the tops of the letters with Black Gesso and once the paint had dried, sanded the letters with a Tim Holtz Sanding Disk on a Mini Round Blending Tool.
I fixed the letters in place using Distress Collage Medium and added an ampersand die-cut from Distress Black HeavyStock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Alphanumeric Shadow Numbers Thinlits.
I hot glued the panel on to the frame and used Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Halloween Label Tape to tidy up the edges.

Simon Says - Stamp It In STAMPtember

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The theme for this week is...
STAMP IT IN STAMPtember
As you know STAMPtember® is a very special month in the Simon Says Stamp calendar. This week we are all using some fabulous products from the latest Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember® Release. You don’t have to use them to join in with the challenge but if you have them we would love to see them used.
I
'm getting in the mood for Christmas and used the bold sentiment from Simon Says Block Alpha Words from the STAMPtember release, the beautiful snowflakes from an old favourite, Simon Says Making Spirits Bright and die-cuts from Simon Says Winter Village to create a Christmas scene.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/2" and coloured with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink.
I stamped the large snowflake from Simon Says Making Spirits Bright stamp set on to the panel, inked with Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide ink, sprinkled with Distress Frosted Crystal Embossing Powder and heat set to give a tone on tone effect.
I stamped the Simon Says Block Alpha Word image and smaller snowflakes from Making Spirits Bright, inked with Simon Says White Pigment Ink pad, sprinkled with Simon Says Detail White Embossing and heat set. I lined up the shadow stamp for the Hello word and stamped along with the smaller snowflakes, inked with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink..

I coloured a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink using the direct to paper technique, dried, stamped the sentiment from Making Spirits Bright, inked with White Pigment Ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and trimmed out the word Christmas.
I die-cut Simon Says Winter Village from Distress Watercolor card and fixed above the Block Alpha Words sentiment using Distress Collage Medium and foam squares to create dimension.
I used my favourite technique for creating dimensional snow - I added splatters of Distress Resist Spray direct from the nozzle, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. To finish I added the sentiment popped up with a foam strip and fixed the panel to a white card blank,
