Simon Says - Sparkle and Shine

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
SPARKLE AND SHINE
This challenge will last for 2 weeks. We would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! We hope that you all have a wonderful time over the holidays and hope that Santa leaves you a little crafty gift under the tree.
I made a winter card with the snowflake and snowman dies from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Winter Wishes Thinlits and used Broken China Distress Spritz and Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter to create sparkle and shine.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", die-cut the snowflake from Masking Paper using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Winter Wishes Thinlits, pressed into place and also used the Masking Paper to create a snowbank at the bottom of the panel.
I smooshed Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink pads on to my media mat, sprayed with water, dragged the panel through the inks and dried. I repeatedly tapped the panel back into the inks to pick up the remaining droplets, drying between layers. I spritzed the panel with Broken China Distress Spritz to add sparkle.
I removed the Masking Paper, painted Distress Collage Medium over the snowbank and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Chunky Glitter. I added splatters of Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray and matted the panel on to Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Silver Sparkle KraftStock trimmed 1/8" larger.
I die-cut the snowmen from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Winter Wishes Thinlits, coloured with Peacock Feathers and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks using a Tiny Blending Tool. I coloured the arms with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, die-cut the noses from Simon Says Stamp Orange Peel cardstock and assembled.
I stamped the sentiment from Tim Holtz/STAMPtember Festive Sentiments on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, sprinkled with Clear embossing powder, heat set and die-cut with the co-ordinating STAMPtember Festive Sentiments dies.
I fixed the sentiment and snowmen in place popped up on Simon Says Stamp 3D Thin Foam Squares. I applied Distress Collage Medium to the fur on the snowmen's hat and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
To finish I matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.

Simon Says - Wispy Pine Needle Frame

Hello my friends, with Christmas just around the corner I've been on a mission to finish off the last of my gift cards and with time ticking away, I reached for Simon Says Stamp Wispy Pine Needle Frame Embossing Folder and Simple Stories Vintage Yuletide Patterned Paper and Bits and Pieces pack to create quick and easy cards and make life less stressful.

I embossed 4 - A2 panels of Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says Stamp Wispy Pine Needle Frame Embossing Folder and coloured around the edges with Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool.
I added panels from Simple Stories Vintage Yuletide patterned paper pad and decorated with Simple Stories Bits and Pieces.
I trimmed the panels to 3.3/4" x 5" and fixed Simple Stories Vintage Yuletide paper and a strip of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red to A2 top folding white card blanks.
With two cards left to make, I trimmed Simple Stories Vintage Yuletide patterned paper to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to A2 top folding white card blanks and decorated with Simple Stories Bits and Pieces and the beautiful Santa image fussy cut from one of the patterned papers.

Enjoy your weekend whether you're Christmas shopping, cooking or crafting  and I'll be back on Monday to share the last DT project of the year for Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Simon Says - Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
MERRY CHRISTMAS/HAPPY HOLIDAYS
I created a Christmas card using Simon Says Stamp Wispy Pine Needle Frame Embossing Folder and Merry Cover die, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Gatherings Thinlits,  Idea-ology Christmas Backdrops 2025 Papers and Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I trimmed Simon Says Midnight Green cardstock to A2, embossed using the Simon Says Wispy Pine Needle Frame Embossing Folder and dragged Simon Says White Pigment ink pad over the raised detail.
I die-cut the Simon Says Merry Cover die twice from Distress Watercolor card and once from Tim Holtz Idea-ology Christmas 2025 Backdrops paper. I fixed one frame and set of letters onto the background using Distress Collage Medium and fixed the second set of white letters behind the patterned paper letters.
I fixed the patterned paper letters in place using Simon Says Thin Foam squares to create dimension.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Gatherings Thinlits from Simon Says Green Apple and Lipstick Red cardstock, placed on the Simon Says Stamp and Stencil Mat and shaded the leaves using Raindrop Pawsitively Saturated ink with a Round Detail Blending Brush.
I fixed the die-cuts in place with Distress Collage Medium, painted the letters and leaves with Distress Collage Medium using a small brush, sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter and added Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries.
To finish I added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Christmas Label Sticker, popped up on Simon Says Thin Foam Squares and matted the panel on to an A2 white card blank.
