Simon Says - Things With Wings

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
THINGS WITH WINGS
I'm looking forward to Summer, the garden bursting into bloom and the return of the busy Bumble Bees collecting pollen from dawn to dusk. I used Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Floristry Sidekick Side Order, Vault Edges Thinlits and Stampers Anonymous Entomology stamp set and matching Sizzix Entomology Framelits to create my card.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Wild Honey Distress Oxide ink on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, dragged the panel through the ink and dried. I tapped the panel into the ink to pick up the remaining droplets. I dragged the Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink pad over the Texture Fade included with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Floristry Sidekick Side Order Thinlits and ran through my Sidekick.
I die-cut the flowers and foliage from Vault Floristry Sidekick Side-Order from Distress Watercolor card, placed on my Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat and coloured with Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey, Frayed Burlap, Evergreen Bough and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks using Simon Says Small Blending Brushes.
I fixed the foliage in place with Distress Collage Medium and popped the flowers up with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I fixed Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Black HeavyStock and die-cut using the alphabet from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges Thinlits.
I stamped the bumble bee from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Entomology on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Nocturne ink, coloured with Distress Oxide inks using a Detailer Waterbrush and die-cut using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Entomology Framelits die.
I added splatters of Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray, matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock, trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

Simon Says - Stencil Fun

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

It's the first challenge of the month when the team feature products from one particular brand/company and this month we are all using fabulous products from Brutus Monroe. You don't have to use their products to join in the challenge but if you have them in your stash, we would love to see how you use them.
We are also welcoming the lovely talented Estelle Palumbo as our Designer In The Spotlight, please pop by her blog, if you haven't visited before, you will be in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
STENCIL FUN
I created a trio of cards using Brutus Monroe Spring Splatter 6" x 6" patterned papers and Vellum, Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Layering Stencils from Sets 10, 39 and 57 and Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges, Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper and Brushstroke Butterflies Thinlits.
I trimmed the Brutus Monroe Spring Splatter patterned papers to create 4" x 5.1/4" panels.
I applied Wild Honey and Evergreen Bough Distress Oxide inks through the Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Berry Leaves and Sticks Mini Layering Stencils from Set 57 using Tiny Blending Tools.
I applied Distress Grit Paste through the Gradient Dot Mini Layering Stencil from Set 39.
I applied Black Opaque Texture Paste through the Wildflower Mini Layering Stencil from Set 10.
I die-cut strips of Brutus Monroe Vellum using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Edges Thinlits, folded the strips  over the edges of the panels and fixed to the back with double sided tape. I die-cut the Vault Edges letters from Distress Watercolor card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I applied Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Black heavyStock, die-cut the Alphanumeric Tiny Type Upper Thinlits and fixed to the vellum strips.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brushstroke Butterflies from the Spring Splatter papers, Distress Watercolor card and Distress Black Heavystock, assembled, fixed in place with dots of Distress Collage Medium on the body section only and pulled up the wings to create dimension.
I added Simon Says Black Pawsitively Dazzling Gems, matted the panels on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to the top-folding white A2 card blanks.

Simon Says - Whatever The Weather

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
WHATEVER THE WEATHER
The theme this week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is Whatever The Weather. I was inspired by the saying "April Showers bring May Flowers" and created a card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Flower Field, The Gent, Funky Floral 1 Thinlits and Simon Says Stamp Duck Trio Wafer Dies. I added detail to the umbrella using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids and used Note Quotes for the sentiment.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4" and coloured using a Custom Blend Distress Ink Pad with re-inkers listed below.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Flower Field Thinlits, the umbrella from The Gent Thinlits and Simon Says Stamp Duck Trio from Distress Watercolor card.
I smooshed Scattered Straw and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and dragged the Flower Field die-cut through the inks, dried and tapped back in repeatedly until I was happy with the coverage.
I coloured the base of the umbrella with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, the upper sections of the umbrella and the beak and feet sections of the ducks with Scattered Straw Distress Oxide and shaded with Wild Honey Distress Oxide using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I fixed the Flower Field die-cut in place with Distress Collage Medium and shaded around the edge of the panel with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink using a Tiny Blending Tool. I inked one of the backgrounds from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, stamped on the umbrella, assembled and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I die-cut the flowers and leaf stems from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Funky Flower 1 Thinlits and coloured with the same colour palette of Distress Oxide inks.
I inked a scrap of Distress Watercolor card with Scattered Straw and Wild Honey Distress Oxide inks, stamped the circle and sentiment from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Note Quotes, inked with Vintage Photo Distress Archival ink and fussy cut.
I fixed the ducks and foliage in place with Distress Collage Medium, added the sentiment circle and flowers popped up on Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension and added a Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Clippings Sticker.
To finish I added splatters of Dina Wakley White Gloss Spray and fixed the panel to an A2 white card blank.

created a Spring themed card using the beautiful Big Botanicals 6" x 8" stamp set with two of my favourite Distress colours, Bundled Sage and Dusty Concord.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", smooshed Bundled Sage and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink pads on to the craft mat on my White Glass Media Mat and spritzed with water. I dragged the panel through the inks, dried and tapped back in to pick up the remaining ink droplets repeatedly until I was happy with the background.
I stamped the large tulip image, moths and small icon images from the Big Botanicals 6" x 8" stamp set, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Dusty Concord Distress Oxide inks. I coloured the tulip image using Dusty Concord, Villainous Potion and Bundled Sage Distress Oxide inks and a Distress Detailer Water Brush.
I stamped the sentiment banner from the stamp set on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, coloured the centre with Dusty Concord Distress Oxide ink using the Distress Detailer Waterbrush, stamped the sentiment and fussy cut to leave a small white border around the edge. I fixed in place popped up on Simon Says Foam Squares and added the second sentiment using Simon Says Bold Birthday Acetate Sentiment Strips.
I re-stamped the tulip image, coloured as before, fussy cut and fixed in place with Simon Says Thin Foam Squares to create dimension.
I dragged the Versafine Clair Nocturne ink pad along the edges of the panel and fixed to an A2 white card blank. To finish I added Simon Says Pawsitively Black Dazzling Gems.
