Simon Says - Food And/Or Drink

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

FOOD AND/OR DRINK

While I wait for Summer to arrive, I'm dreaming of drinking cocktails on a beach in an exotic faraway place. To create my card, I used Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Tiny Text and Simon Says Tiny Text co-ordinating dies, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Happy Hour and Vault World Travel Thinlits.

I created the background on Distress Watercolor card using Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide inks. I inked the Tiny Text stamp with Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink and stamped on to the background.  I applied Distress Translucent Gloss Texture Paste through the Mini Ringer Layering Stencil from Set 7 and once dry, added the globe die-cut from Idea-ology Blac KraftStock using the Vault World Travel Thinlits.

I coloured Distress Watercolor card with Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Crackling Campfire, Peeled Paint and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks using mini round blending tools. I die-cut the Happy Hour Thinlits base layer from vellum, the additional pieces from the coloured card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.

I fixed the die-cuts in place on Thin 3D foam squares and added splatters of Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz.

I inked the sentiments from Tiny Text with Versamark ink, stamped on to scraps of Idea-ology Black KraftStock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set, die-cut with the Tiny Text co-ordinating dies and fixed to the panel with Thin 3D Foam Squares. I added the die-cut plane and arrow from the Vault Word Travel Thinlits.

To finish I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4" and fixed to an A2 white card blank.
