Simon Says - On/Under The Sea

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...

ON/UNDER THE SEA

I created a card for a fisherman friend using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Sea Life, Simon Says Stamp Sea Life co-ordinating dies and Prize Ribbon Sentiments and dies.

I coloured an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card using Faded Jeans and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks and a Distress Sprayer.

I stamped the fishes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Sea Life, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, on to the background and added splatters of Flickering Candle Distress Mica Stain.

I trimmed the panel to 3.3/4" x 5", fixed Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Mummy Cloth around the bottom and fixed to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock.

I stamped the larger fish and foliage from Sea Life on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, coloured with Juniper Berry and Flickering Candle Distress Mica Stains using a Distress Detailer Waterbrush. Distress Mica Stains are opaque so with the stamps still in the same position in my stamping platform, I re-stamped the images to bring back the detail and die-cut using Simon Says Stamp Sea Life co-ordinating dies.

I fixed the fish and foliage in place popped up on Simon Says Stamp Thin 3D Foam Squares to create dimension.

I stamped the sentiments from Simon Says Prize Ribbon Sentiments on to Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, heat set and die-cut using the circle from the co-ordinating Prize Ribbon. I stamped the sub sentiment on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, trimmed and added both sentiments to the panel.

To finish I added Trinity Stamps Creamy Vanilla Heart Sprinkles and matted on to an A2 white card blank.
