Merry and Bright

Hi my friends,I'm sharing the last card I made for the Facebook Live launch of Tim Holtz/Sizzix Chapter 3 Christmas release using Stacked Triangles and Merry and Bright Thinlits. If you missed the launch, you can catch up with all the amazing new dies and inspirational samples over on Tim's Blog HERE.

No long winded tutorial for this card because it was far easier to make than perhaps it looks. I began by trimming Kraft Card to measure 6" square, die-cut loads of the largest of the Stacked Triangles from 3 different papers from last year's Idea-ology Christmas Paper Pad which I had backed with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Adhesive Sheet and the die-cutting is a breeze when you have 5 of each sized triangle in the set. I marked the centre of the kraft card with a pencil mark and fixed down the triangles using my T Square Ruler to make sure they were aligned straight, leaving a small gap in between to create a faux quilted look and mixing up the triangles so that no two patterns were adjacent to each other. Once I had covered the entire card, I trimmed the panel down to 5.1/4" square.
I added splatters using White Gesso, matted the triangle panel on to red cardstock and fixed to a 6" square white card blank.
To finish I die-cut the Merry and Bright Thinlits 4 times from Distress Watercolor card, layered together to create dimension, fixed to the card, and added a few die-cut stars from the set.
I'll be sharing lots more makes using the Chapter 3 Halloween and Christmas releases, in the run up to the holiday season, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you are creating.
Toodle-oo for now
Hugs Kath xxx
