Back To The Christmas To Do List

Hello my friends, I'm back to the Christmas To Do List, to make Christmas Money Pocket cards to pop into the gift bags I made earlier.

I decided to keep with the same theme of using the Tim Holtz Simon Says Stamp DieCember Be Of Good Cheer Santa die and snowflake from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Winter Wishes Thinlits but make them simpler using an ink blended circle over Simon Says Twinkling Stars embossed background and the same sentiment from Simon Says Christmas Cheer stamp set.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 6 - A2 panels and embossed using Simon Says Rainbow Splash Twinkling Stars Embossing Powder. I ink blended a circle on each panel using a mini round blending tool with Rustic Wilderness, Lumberjack Plaid and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide inks, to match the colours I used on the gift bags.
I created my own glitter cardstock by applying a light even coat of Distress Collage Medium on to Distress Watercolor card, sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy and once dry, pressed between two sheets of copy paper, brushed off any excess glitter and die-cut the snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Winter Wishes Thinlits.
I fixed the snowflakes to the centre of each panel using a large 3D foam square which will be hidden by the die-cut Santas and matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.
I die-cut the Santas from Distress Black HeavyStock and Sizzix Surfacez cardstock.
I assembled the Santas and fixed to the snowflakes with Distress Collage Medium. I painted a thin layer of Ranger Glossy Accents randomly over the white sections of Santa and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter. I matted the panels on to A2 white card blanks.
I embossed 2 panels of Distress Watercolor card with Simon Says Rainbow Splash Twinkling Stars Embossing Folder, trimmed into 6 - 4" x 1.2" strips and coloured to match the ink blending on the front of the card. I used a small circle die to cut a notch, fixed the panels in place with thin strips of foam at the bottom and each side and tucked in the Christmas cash.
I stamped the banner and sentiment from Simon Says Christmas Cheer stamp set on to Schoolhouse Red cardstock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and fussy cut using my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips. I popped the sentiments up with 3D foam squares to add dimension. To finish I punched holes through the side of the cards and added twine bows as a closure.

Woohoo, one more task ticked off the Christmas List.
Hugs Kath xxx
