Simon Says - Cold and Frosty

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
COLD AND FROSTY
I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy & Healthy 2025. This challenge will run for 2 weeks and we'll be back with a new theme on 6 January. I created a card using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie and the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Festive Wreath and Bold Text Christmas Thinlits and Distress Rock Candy Glitter to add a frosty touch.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4.3/4" x 6.3/4" and coloured using Chipped Sapphire and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks.
I die-cut the panel using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Christmas and fixed tape behind the letters to hold them in place.
I die-cut again twice from Distress Watercolor card and fixed the letters in place with Distress Collage Medium to create dimension.
I inked the snowman image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card and die-cut using the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Festive Wreath from Distress Watercolor card and Simon Says Silver Glitter card, coloured the edges of the white foliage and candles with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide and assembled. I coloured the snowman with Prize Ribbon, Crackling Campfire and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide inks using a Distress Detailer Brush, fixed to the wreath with Distress Collage Medium and trimmed off the excess. I placed 3D foam squares behind the snowman and candles to add dimension and fixed to the panel. I added the bow die-cut 3 times from Distress Watercolor, coloured the top layer with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink and fixed in place slightly offset.
I stamped the snowflakes from Mr Frostie around the edges of the panel, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne and Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I coloured the top half of the die-cut letters with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink using a Distress Detailer Brush and dried. I applied a layer of Distress Collage Medium to each letter and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter to create a frosty look.
I stamped the smallest snowflake from Mr Frostie on to a scrap of Distress Watercolor card, inked with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, die-cut with the co-ordinating die, fixed to the foliage on the wreath with a foam square. I coloured the centre with Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide ink, added Distress Collage Medium and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I painted Distress Collage Medium on to the bow, the blue shading on the candles and the snowman's nose and sprinkled with Distress Rock Candy Glitter.
I added Pink Fresh Studio Starry Sky Ombre Glitter Drops to the centres of the snowflakes and bow and one on the snowman's hat.
To finish I inked the edges with Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink and matted the panel on to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

Sending Big Hugs

Happy Friday my friends, I'm sharing a card made with products from Simon Says Stamp To Love release using the Falling In Love Stencil, Circle Sentiments stamp set and Exotic Blooms Wafer Dies. You can check out all the products from the release HERE.

I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to 4" x 5.1/4", placed on my Simon Says Pawsitively Perfect Craft Tacky Mat, along with the Falling In Love Stencil and ink blended using Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxides and mini round blending tools.
With the stencil still in place, I inked the sentiment stamp from Simon Says Circle Sentiments with Versafine Onyx Black ink and stamped through the stencil repeatedly to create some interest on the background.
I removed the stencil and inked around the edges and lightly over the whole panel with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink.
I used the two hearts from Simon Says Lace Heart to create a frame, die-cut from Distress Watercolor card.
I die-cut Simon Says Exotic Blooms from Distress Watercolor card and coloured with Picked Raspberry/Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks and Simon Says Cabbage and Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated Mini Ink Cubes using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes.
I stamped the same sentiment I used on the background on to a scrap of Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and trimmed around the edges with my trusty Tim Holtz Mini Recoil Snips.
I fixed the Lace Heart Frame in place with Distress Collage Medium and inked through the apertures around the frame with a black marker to make it stand out on the background. I added the Exotic Blooms popped up on 3D foam squares, trimmed the sentiment to fit and also attached with 3D foam squares.
I matted the panel on to Distress Black HeavyStock trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank. To finish I added a bow using Lawn Fawn White Hemp Twine.
Have a great weekend whatever you have planned and good luck, if like me, you are still busy with the last minute Christmas shopping and prep.

Thinking Of You This Christmas

Hello my friends, the last Christmas cards rolled off the production line last week and are now in the mail. I'm sharing the cards I made for friends who will be spending this Christmas without their loved ones. I used my favourite snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Weathered Winter and Simon Says Stamp Scripty Thinking Of You die from the DieCember release.

I trimmed Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to create 4 - 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" panels, stamped the large snowflake from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mini Weathered Winter, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I stamped a smaller snowflake from the same stamp set, heat set with Gold Embossing Powder and stamped a small snowflake from Simon Says Home For The Holidays, inked with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I die-cut the Simon Says Stamp Scripty Thinking Of You shadow from Distress Watercolor card, placed the word die on top and die-cut again. I fixed to the panels leaving the words in their negative spaces using Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed Simon Says Tear-rific Adhesive sheet to Gold Matte cardstock, die-cut the words, peeled from the adhesive sheet and fixed in place over the original words.
I stamped the sentiment from Simon  Says Holiday Messages on to Distress Black HeavyStock, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set.
I die-cut the sentiments using Simon Says Stamp Nested Banners and fixed to the panels with Distress Collage Medium. To finish I added shading around the edges of the panels using Scorched Timber Distress Ink and a mini round blending tool and fixed the panels to 5" x 7" white card blanks.

Happy Crafting whatever you're making.

Simon Says - It's A Wrap

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
IT'S A WRAP
I created a card inspired by the song lyric "brown paper packages tied up with string" using Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Forest Floor 2 and Santa Visit stamp sets, Forest Floor 2 co-ordinating dies, Lawn Fawn White Twine and postage stamps from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book.
I trimmed Distress Kraft HeavyStock to 4" x 5.1/4", stamped the holly image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Forest Floor 2, inked with Versamark ink on to the panel, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail embossing powder and heat set. I stamped the calendar image from Santa Visit, inked with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink and heat embossed with Simon Says Clear embossing powder.
I inked around the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink using a tiny blending tool.
I wound Lawn Fawn White Hemp Twine around the panel and added a double bow.
I dipped Peeled Paint and Candied Apple Distress Watercolor Pencils into a jar of water, used to colour the holly image from Forest Floor 2 and stamped on to Distress Watercolor card.
I dried the image and re-stamped using Scorched Timber Distress Ink to re-define the detail.
I die-cut using the co-ordinating Forest Floor 2 dies from Simon Says Stamp and fixed to the panel with 3D foam squares to create dimension. I added the stamps from Tim Holtz/Idea-ology Postmarked Sticker Book.
I added 3D foam tape behind the panel, matted on to Simon Says Schoolhouse Red cardstock. trimmed 1/8" larger and fixed to an A2 white card blank.
