Simon Says - Bundle Up

Hello my friends, I'm sharing another card using the Warmest Wishes 6" x 8" stamp set and Snowflake Adhesive Transfer Sheets from Simon Says Stamp December Card Kit and with the heavy snow that has fallen in the UK over the last few days, it's definitely Stay Cozy and Bundle Up weather. You can check out all the fabulous products included in the kit, subscribe if you don't already or purchase individual items from the kit HERE.

I trimmed two of the Simon Says Snowflake Adhesive Transfers from the sheet, removed the backing, placed on an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card and ran through my laminator. I peeled off the transfers, covered with Silver Iridescent Foil and ran through the laminator again.
I smooshed the Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated ink pad on to my Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water and dragged the panel through the ink, dried and tapped back into the ink droplets until I was happy with the coverage.
I inked the "Hygge" definition stamp from the Warmest Wishes stamp set with Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated ink and stamped repeatedly over the background.
I stamped the sweater, mittens, leaves and berry clusters, inked with Pucker, Latte and Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated inks on to Distress Watercolor card and fussy cut. I fixed the leaves and berry clusters to the panel with Distress Collage Medium and added the sweater and mittens popped up on 3D foam squares.
I stamped the extra sentiments inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
I trimmed the panel to 3.3/4" x 5" and fixed to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back soon to share another card made with the December 2024 card kit. In the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.

Bundled Up with Mr Frostie

Hello my friends, I'm back to share another card using the Bundled Up embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp Warmest Wishes December 2024 but giving it a bit of a twist with different colours for the blackout technique and adding the adorable Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie, die-cut using the co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp.

I embossed an A2 panel of Distress Watercolor card using Simon Says Bundled Up embossing folder and coloured the detail on the debossed side of the panel with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and a Detailer Waterbrush. This is a quick and easy "you don't have to stay within the lines" technique and I tried to leave the pom poms and cuffs on the hats and mittens white.
I dragged my Hickory Smoke Distress Archival ink pad over the panel repeatedly until I was happy with the coverage.
I die-cut a circle aperture and die-cut a frame from Distress Watercolor card using the same circle die and one slightly smaller. I coloured Distress Watercolor card to fit behind the aperture with Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink and stamped the snowflakes from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Mr Frostie with the same ink to create a tone on tone effect. At this stage, I could have created a shaker card but on this occasion chose not to.
I stamped the adorable Mr Frostie on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and coloured using Saltwater Taffy and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide inks and a Detailer Waterbrush.
I die-cut using the Mr Frostie co-ordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp and fussy cut the nose. Don't be discouraged if you don't have these dies, all the pieces for Mr Frostie are easy to fussy cut.
I inked the sentiment stamp from Simon Says Warmest Wishes stamp set with Versamark ink, stamped on to a strip of Distress Black HeavyStock, sprinkled with Simon Says White Detail Embossing Powder, heat set and trimmed to separate the words.
I fixed Mr Frostie in place, popped up on 3D foam squares to create dimension and the sentiment in place with Distress Collage Medium. I inked the snowflakes with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink, stamped to scraps of Distress Watercolor, die-cut using the co-ordinating dies and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. I coloured the centres of the snowflakes with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen. To finish, I trimmed the panel to 4" x 5.1/4", fixed to an A2 panel of Distress Black HeavyStock and matted on to an A2 white card blank.

I'll be back tomorrow to share another card made with the Warmest Wishes December Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp, in the meantime, have fun with whatever you're making.

I trimmed the Neenah Solar White card included in the kit to 4" x 5.1/4" and die-cut an aperture using Simon Says Nested Domed Arches die and the stamped the sentiment from the Warmest Wishes stamp set inked with Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
I embossed a second 4" x 5.1/4" panel of Neenah Solar White card with the Bundled Up Embossing Folder, coloured the centre lightly with Artichoke Pawsitively Saturated ink using a Simon Says Blending Brush and fixed to an A2 white card blank.
I stamped the images from Warmest Wishes on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with the 3 Pawsitively Saturated Ink Cubes included in the kit and fussy cut using Tim Holtz/Tonic Studios Recoil Mini Snips.

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
EMBOSS IT
I created a trio of cards using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brickwork 3D Texture Fade to add embossed strips behind the foliage images, stamped with Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Forest Floor 2 and die-cut with Simon Says Stamp Forest Floor 2 co-ordinating dies, decorated with Idea-ology Postmarked and Christmas Label Stickers and twine bows.
I embossed Distress Watercolor card with Tim Holtz/Sizzix Brickwork 3D Texture Fade and tore into 3 strips to use as background accents on A2 Kraft HeavyStock card blanks.
I fixed the embossed strips to the cards with Distress Collage Medium and stamped the calendar image from Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous Santa Visit, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink.
I stamped the Forest Floor 2 images on to Distress Watercolor card, inked with Ground Espresso Distress Archival ink and coloured with Festive Berries, Peeled Paint, Rustic Wilderness and Gathered Twigs Distress Watercolor Pencils and a Detailer Waterbrush.
I die-cut the images using Simon Says Forest Floor 2 co-ordinating dies and fixed the berry sprig in place with Distress Collage Medium and the other images with Simon Says Thin 3D foam squares.
I added Idea-ology Postmarked and Christmas Label Stickers, twine bows and Ranger Glossy Accents to the berries on the holly image.
I added splatters of Unravelled Distress Mica Stain and White Gesso. I applied White Gesso using a mini round blending tool to soften the edges of the cards.

Simon Says - Thanks/Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
THANKS/THANKSGIVING
I created Autumn themed Thank You cards using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Fall Foliage and Bold Text Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids and used Antique Linen/Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz to add a touch of shimmer.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 2 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels, smooshed the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink pad on to the craft mat on my White Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked up on a piece of plastic and transferred to the panels until I was happy with the coverage. I added splatters of Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz and dried.
I die-cut leaves from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Hotz/Sizzix Fall Foliage Thinlits and tapped into puddles of Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany, Ripe Persimmon and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks. I sprayed the leaves lightly with Antique Linen and Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz to add some autumnal shimmer.
I inked one of the bakground stamps from Tim Hotz/Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with water and dried.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Thinlits from the stamped panel and matted on to Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink.
I fixed the die-cut leaves to the panels, trimmed the Bold Text die-cut,down to leave the word "thank" only, inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and fixed the sentiment panel and fall out letters in place with Distress Collage Medium
I trimmed panels of Simon Says Green Leaf and Burnt Orange cardstock to A2, darkened the edges using Scorched Timber Distress Ink and Tiny Blending. I fixed the panels in place with Distress Collage Medium and added machine stitching down the centre of the larger leaves.
To finish I added the word "you" trimmed from Simon Says Bold Acetate Birthday Sentiment Strips and matted the panels on to top folding A2 white card blanks.
