I know you have heard it all before BUT I really can't praise these stamps enough....they are simply a joy to work with and you can't say that about all clear stamp sets.....they ink and stamp beautifully and there are gorgeous little icons in each set.....great for doing backgrounds....so if you are considering a purchase.....consider no more folks....just get over there and get some....
AND TO CELEBRATE MY LITTLE TOOT......LEAVE ME A COMMENT HERE AND AT THE END OF THE WEEK.....WELL A LITTLE SURPRISE FOR ONE LUCKY VISITOR.
And one last peek of my favourite
I have had lots of e-mails asking how I created the backgrounds....all done with the Distress Inks from my crafty hero...yes the one and only...he who is KING....MR TIM HOLTZ
so here goes......
First I stamped the butterfly image with Versamark onto white cardstock and embossed with Seafoam White..then using Tim Holtz Distress Inks...Peeled Paint...Weathered Wood and Walnut Stain coloured the background......using a piece of kitchen roll to buff.....removing the ink from the butterfly image.....overstamped with the gorgeous flourish stamp from the set with the Walnut Stain.
Coloured a spare piece of card in the same way and stamped the Choko image several times and lots of the little flower icons.....with Walnut Stain.....cut out the Choko image and decoupaged her hair and kimono to give a bit of dimension. Cut out all the flowers and glued to white cardstock....cutting out to leave a white border......adding a ribbon and In Circle Message to finish off.
Well that's it for today folks.....off to get crafting......back tomorrow with my
Blog Candy Give-Away...yes a little bit late I know....
so make sure you pop over and get your name in the hat.....
Hugs Kath xxxxxxxx

Hi Kath. I'm not surprised your cards have been chosen to demo the images. They are beautiful stamps but what you have done with them promotes them to advantage - well done you. Julie Hickey was my very 1st favourite designer when I found out about card making (a few years ago!!)- and I still like her designs. These might have to be my next purchase.

I am not surprised at all, you are so very talented and I am soooo jealous. I love checking out your blog. You have inspiration in every nook and cranny.
ReplyDeleteI think your Buddy is sweet and you are lucky to have such a companion. I have 2 cats that would never think of warming my feet but have to be in the middle of whatever I'm doing. If I'm using ink or paint, stickles or anything wet I have to lock them out to keep them out of it.
You are also very generous with your candy and I thank you, ms.cheryl
Congratulations Kath!
