Simon Says - Thanks/Thanksgiving

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

and the theme for this week is...
THANKS/THANKSGIVING
I created Autumn themed Thank You cards using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Fall Foliage and Bold Text Thinlits, Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids and used Antique Linen/Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz to add a touch of shimmer.
I trimmed Distress Watercolor card to create 2 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels, smooshed the Peeled Paint Distress Oxide ink pad on to the craft mat on my White Glass Media Mat, spritzed with water, picked up on a piece of plastic and transferred to the panels until I was happy with the coverage. I added splatters of Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz and dried.
I die-cut leaves from Distress Watercolor card using Tim Hotz/Sizzix Fall Foliage Thinlits and tapped into puddles of Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany, Ripe Persimmon and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide inks. I sprayed the leaves lightly with Antique Linen and Crackling Campfire Distress Spritz to add some autumnal shimmer.
I inked one of the bakground stamps from Tim Hotz/Stampers Anonymous Perfect Plaids with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink, stamped on to Distress Watercolor card, spritzed with water and dried.
I die-cut Tim Holtz/Sizzix Bold Text Thinlits from the stamped panel and matted on to Distress Watercolor card, coloured with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide ink.
I fixed the die-cut leaves to the panels, trimmed the Bold Text die-cut,down to leave the word "thank" only, inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink and fixed the sentiment panel and fall out letters in place with Distress Collage Medium
I trimmed panels of Simon Says Green Leaf and Burnt Orange cardstock to A2, darkened the edges using Scorched Timber Distress Ink and Tiny Blending. I fixed the panels in place with Distress Collage Medium and added machine stitching down the centre of the larger leaves.
To finish I added the word "you" trimmed from Simon Says Bold Acetate Birthday Sentiment Strips and matted the panels on to top folding A2 white card blanks.

Simon Says - Gift Card Pocket Tags

Hello my friends, Simon Says have just released their Festive Fun collection of amazing products and you can check out all the festive fabulousness in this release HERE.

I made gift card holders using the cute Gift Card Pocket Tag and Tall Poinsettia dies and used sentiments from the Poinsettia Swag 4" x 6" stamp set and Merriest Christmas Sentiment Strips.

I die-cut the Gift Card Pocket Tag from Distress Watercolor card, die-cut the snowflake from Masking Paper, fixed to the tag and coloured both sides using Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink and a mini round blending tool.
I inked the sentiment from the Poinsettia Swag stamp set with Lumberjack Plaid Distress Oxide ink and stamped randomly on the front and back of the tag.
I die-cut the Tall Poinsettia dies from Distress Watercolor Card, coloured with Lumberjack Plaid, Ripe Persimmon, Aged Mahogany, Pine Needles and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide inks using Simon Says Round Detail Blending Brushes and assembled. I added splatters of Gilded Foundry Wax to the tag and poinsettia die-cut, heat set and fixed the poinsettia to the tag using Distress Collage Medium. I coloured a scrap of card with Gilded Foundry Wax, heat set and die-cut the hole reinforcer.
I trimmed Simon Says Merriest Christmas Sentiment Strips and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
To finish I added Pink Fresh Studio Gold Glitter Drops and Gold/White Bakers Twine.

I die-cut the second tag from Distress Watercolor card, added a snowbank trimmed from Masking Paper and coloured on both sides using Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide inks using a mini round blending tool. I flicked on water and dried to create the water droplet effect and added splatters of Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz to add shimmer.
I removed the masking paper, masked off the sentiments from the Poinsettia Swag stamp set, inked with Versamark ink, sprinkled with Simon Says Silver Embossing Powder and heat set.
I die-cut the snowflakes and hole reinforcer from Simon Says Luxe Glitter card and the trees from Distress Watercolor card and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed the "From" and "To" die-cut from the Luxe Glitter card to the back of the tag and added Silver/White Twine.

Have fun with whatever you are creating.

Simon Says - Thinking Of You

Hi Everyone...welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. Thank you for joining us for last week's challenge and we hope you can join us this week too because

The first challenge of the month is when the team feature a particular brand or company and this time we are all using the fabulous products from Tim Holtz. You don't have to use these products to join in the challenge but who doesn't have some of Tim's products in their stash and we would love to see what you make with them.
We are also welcoming the lovely and talented Teresa York as this month's Designer In The Spotlight and if you haven't visited her Instagram page  please pop over, you are in for a real treat.
The theme for this week is...
THINKING OF YOU
I used the newly released Tim Holtz/Sizzix Letterboard and Fresh Brewed Sidekick Side Orders along with my trusty Sidekick to create a card for a friend who now lives far away to send her a Starbucks Gift Card and let her know I'm thinking of her and miss the conversations we used to have over a coffee.
I trimmed Distress Black HeavyStock to create a 4.1/2" x 6.1/2" panel, embossed using the folder from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Letterboard Side Order and dragged Simon Says White Pigment Ink pad across the surface to mimic the letterboard look.
I die-cut a tag from Distress Watercolor card using the die from the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Sidekick Starter Kit and coloured lightly with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink using a mini round blending tool. I embossed the folder from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Fresh Brewed Side Order on to Distress Watercolour Card, dragged the Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink pad over the detail, spritzed with water and dried. I trimmed to fit on the tag and added the hole reinforcer, die-cut from Sizzix Surfacez red cardstock.
I threaded the tag with Red Bakers Twine and fixed to the background using 3D foam squares to create dimension. I fixed Sizzix Adhesive Sheet to Distress Watercolor card, die-cut using the alphabet from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Letterboard Side Order and fixed to the panel.
I die-cut the coffee cup, steam and hearts from Distress Watercolor card, Sizzix Brown and Red Surfacez cardstock using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Fresh Brewed Side Order and fixed to the tag with Distress Collage Medium.
I fixed the panel to white card leaving a border around the edges. I trimmed Tim Holtz Distress Two-Tone Grey Woodgrain into 1" strips, inked the edges with Scorched Timber Distress Ink, mitred the corners and fixed in place to create a frame. I trimmed and fixed to a 5" x 7" white card blank.

Tim Holtz/Ranger - New Distress Spritz Colours

Hello my friends, if you've just been watching the Tim Holtz Holiday Hoopla over on Tim's YouTube Channel, you'll know that 12 new colours of Distress Spritz have joined the Tim Holtz/Ranger Distress family. But first things first, time to make some swatches.

Then I had great fun going all out with the Distress Spritz shimmer to make 3 Christmas cards using Distress Black HeavyStock, Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tiles Circles, Triangles, Squares and Rectangles Thinlits, the words from Vault Christmas Classic and Swirling Stars Thinlits.
I trimmed Distress Black HeavyStock to create 3 - 4" x 5.1/4" panels. I spritzed Hickory Smoke Distress Spritz on the panel and on a scrap of Distress Watercolor card. I trimmed out a snowbank and die-cut the word Peace using the Tim Holtz/Sizzix Vault Holiday Classic Thinlits and stars from Tim Holtz/Sizzix Swirling Stars. I spritzed Distress Watercolor card with Rustic Wilderness Distress Spritz and die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tile Triangles Thinlits. I stacked the triangles to create trees, wrapped with gold thread and added tree trunks from Distress Watercolor card coloured with Frayed Burlap Distress Spritz.
I fixed the snowbank in place with Distress Collage Medium, added the trees popped up on 3D foam squares, die-cut the word Peace again from Distress Black HeavyStock, layered slightly offset and fixed in place with Distress Collage Medium. To finish I sprinkled with Stampendous Frantage Chunky White Embossing Enamel to create a snow effect and heat set from underneath.
I repeated the process on the second panel, using Salvaged Patina Distress Spritz on the background and Villainous Potion and Broken China Distress Spritz for the stars, word and baubles die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tiles Circles Thinlits.

I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress Spritz for the word and stars and Lumberjack Plaid and Faded Jeans Distress Spritz for the parcels die-cut using Tim Holtz/Sizzix Stacked Tiles Squares and Rectangles Thinlits.

Have fun with whatever you are making.
